.......Uh, Vols?............No Way, Jose'!!!

Sorry, other Bama fan's but there's just too much hate in my heart at this time to forgive/forget what UT has done/is doing to Bama's players!

Sure, I want Bama to fair well in the BCS; but dag nab it, I just hate orange!!!

Ordinarily, I'd say Tennessee. However, as long as Fulmer is there it's awfully difficult to hope UT wins any game, regardless of the opponent. I didn't like Fulmer even before the NCAA mess and even before UT started beating Bama in the recent streak. And UT is really no better than ND, as far as hometown boys: less than 1/3 of the players on the UT roster are actually from the state of Tennessee while Bama's roster is about 70% Alabama boys.

I agree with wastedmason, even if UT wins out it won't help Bama in the BCS. USC and Texas are preordained national championship contenders and a loss by either may not even be enough to prevent it. First, I don't see Texas losing to anybody, though it would be funny to see aTm beat them. Second, even if USC loses to UCLA, they'd probably only drop to #2 and Texas would move up to #1. UCLA would possibly leapfrog Bama and be the #1 team.

I guess I'll just hope they both lose somehow.

Adversity, such as losing to your fiercest rival and losing your starting tailback, is the kind of thing that pulls teams together. I think Tennessee could finally put together a complete game and knock the Irish down a peg or three. But with any hope of getting a 10-win season lying on the turf at Bryant-Denny, they could also just pack it in and start looking for agents.

To keep from having to sleep in the guest room I will have to at least pretend to cheer for the Irish. But in all honesty, at this time, I have more dislike for Fullmer than I do the Irish.

Frankly, a Tennessee win over ND would have a meaningless effect on our BCS ranking. It would not elevate us to either number one or number two, and anything below that is worthless in my opinion.

No, I think this is a better scenario: Notre Dame beats the snot out of Tennessee, ends up ranked number four to our number three at season's end...and we beat the snot out of them in a bowl game.

Nw THAT would be a classic matchup for a classic season!

Besides, Tennesse is NOT going to beat Notre Dame, no matter who I pull for...

What a pleasure

dusting off all the what-if situations, who's loss best helps Bama, etc...

We haven't had that circumstance in a good while now. I'd forgotten how much fun it can be.

If I could put the fix in on this game, I wouldn't know which way to go.

I'd like to go back to the old rule, pull for the SEC when a homey plays out of conference. But I think ut's got to sack Phats first for that dog to ever hunt again.

I agree with you Tru, if the orange wins and since we beat them and they beat the great irish then he helps us and the SEC. That would give them 3 Ls and hurt their QB in any post season awards. I do respect their coach a whole lot more than the orange guy, so if the irish win...well it won't spoil my Saturday.

You people won't pull for Aub when it could put us in the SEC game, but you'll pull for UT to beat ND if it makes the whole SEC look good. What gives? :conf2:

I don't understand how anyone could see the Vols winning with all the chaos and turmoil in their house right now. I believe that Spurrier and the the Gamecocks will put them out of their misery this Saturday!

Did any of you notice the look on UT's players after the game?

They're 3-3, with back-to-back SEC losses for the first time in forever.

They looked pretty dejected. Getting blown out is one thing..losing a game like that can take years off your life.

The way those guy slooked coming off the field, they may have a hard time getting past South Carolina, much less Notre Dame.

I have to go with ND. They have some big uglies on their offensive line that can get it done. If they score 20...no...if they score 14, they win.

I frankly do not see USC or the Horns losing. If so, the BCS is meaningless for UA. If the Tide wins out, it'll just mean that for the second time in two years that an undefeated SEC team is on the outside looking in. Given that, I have to pull for ND. There's no one that I hate more than Fulmer. Seeing the wheels come of the Viles and Phil's butt get into the hot seat would be a wonderful sight to see.

It's not a question of who you think will win. I think ND wins. Instead its a question of who do we need to lose. We really don't care if TN loses but it would be nice to have the national media darling ND get whooped by an SEC defense. I think this would be a lot to ask, but it could happen. It would also diminish USC's marginal win there, which I'm all for diminishing USC in whatever capacity possible. I think I am looking at WNBA scores every time I see a final score with 2 PAC 10 teams. That's not real football. Do they know the meaning of defense or run stopping? I'm not saying USC doenst have the most talent in the country. I just think their defense is suspect and playing against a good/great defense would cause them a loss if they played 3 or 4 teams that could oblige.

After going to Norman and pulling hard for Bama against OU both there and in T-town, you guys need to give us just a tad of love to beat ND. It's going to be hard enough as is, and it will benefit the Tide if we do win.

If UT clobbers ND, it makes us beating them impressive in the eyes of the national media. Plus it directly affects our BCS numbers, since UT is an opponent of us and ND is an oppenent of USC. I definitely will be pulling for the Vols.
