Mount Cody is signing autographs at the Huntsville Mall today until 6pm. A friend sent this pic.

We showed up just before 4PM and the line was INSANE!!

Yep, I got there at 4:15. Line started in the center of the mall, went North to Belk then east to the license office, then back west to the main strip then south to opposite end of the mall where he sat. I saw one dude when I got there and I tracked his progress after I left at 5:15. He had moved maybe a 5th of the way. So that lines was 4 to 5 hours long.

I got some pictures like the one above and that was it for me. I imagine at 6:00 they would have just said sorry to everyone one that didn't make to him in time.

my husband got there at 11 for the 12 to 2 signing and left after 6, empty handed :frown: he said the line was insane and they ran out of things for the fans to sign at like 12 and started charging $20 for thim to sign anything you brough.
it wasnt well put together if you ask me

this is not true because we left at 2 or so and there was a ton of stuff left to sign......hubby might be yanking your leg LOL :biggrin2:

I was there at 4ish and I was definitely not prepared! Next time they have an event like that I will be there freakishly early.

Some of the people hosting the event today said that RO will becoming in the near future.

Was anyone lucky enough to get his autograph?

i did! for every item you purchased, he would sign one of your personal items for free.....nice guy too!!! i know the people that host the signings and cody said he will try and do another one with them. this is the first one they've ever had after christmas season. mainly because he would have violated an NCAA rule if he would have done signings during the season and he would have still been in school LOL

What time did you get there and how long did you have to wait? I want to be prepared for his or Ro's next signing.

I don't live in the Huntsville area and was not there for the signing yesterday, but I can tell you depending on who is signing generally the earlier you get there, the better. Most of the time I would suggest arriving for a function like this at least one hour early. It sounds like for the Cody signing yesterday getting there one hour early might not be early enough. If you can make it there two hours early that would be even better and you should be just fine.

Again, I was not at this signing yesterday and to be honest I'm a little surprised that it was this crowded, but you have to consider that Cody is a very, very popular football player in Alabama and Alabama is coming off a national championship.

This is a totally different set of circunstances, but I go to Fan Day every year which is an absolute madhouse. I arrive for Fan Day about three or four hours before it starts and there are many, many people ahead of me in line.

When is fan day? Is it part of the A-Day game or do they sign autographs after the A-day game?

Since Saban as been at Alabama, it's generally the first or second Sunday in August. If you plan on attending Fan Day brace yourself. It's tough. There are thousands and thousands of fans that attend and Fan Day only lasts for 45 minutes. I'm sure coming off a national championship there will be even more fans in attendance. It's not for the faint of heart.

My wife and I were killing time Sat nite at Umall in Ttown, before heading back up to Sand Mtn. Walking past a store I glanced over and saw Mt. in a store signing pics. and taking pictures. We stood in the line 20 minutes or so, got the deal done, and I swear the line was 5 times longer then when we started. Mt Cody was tired and tried to be cordial. Josh Chapman was there as well. It was just to cool.
