Darren Sprioles the former heisman canidate from Kansas State University who now plays for the Chargers. Like Sprioles, Grant is smaller in size, but extremely quick/agile with excellent acceleration! I'm not going to say he is going to be a Darren Sprioles, but I feel that he has a similar playing style. What exciting times! - c.b.m.

I guess we are going to be really small at the lb spot. How many rb's did we sign or have coming in? How many qb's do we have on the roster? No way they all can be pleased.Several will be moving to different pos and will need to put on weight.

Now that its all over I'm ready for football season!

.......of a scene from the movie TopGun:

"I feel the neeeeeeed for speeeeeeeeeeeeeed!"

Yep - Shaud Williams with turbo boosters!

Harkens me back to the 2003 Arkansas game - 1st play from scrimmage at the 20. Bama loads the sling shot, Closner hikes the ball, they hand it off, Williams on the smoke draw up the middle like the parting of the Red Sea - nuttin' but green grass!!!!!!!!!!!!

Touchdoooooooooown Alabama! -- only faster with Grant!!!!!!!!

Funny you should say that he reminds you of Walter Payton. The first time I saw video footage of Mike Ford and his smoothe cross field cutting and slashing style I thought of Walter Payton. Hey, I don't care, one Payton or two, I say strap em' up and let's kcikoff! Man, do we really have to wait 7 months from tomorrow before the next kickoff (not counting April 1st of course!)???

I've heard he is very similiar in style to Walter Peyton

That may be because Payton went to high school (Columbia High) about 35-45 (if that far) miles from Lumberton.

One scouting report says that he is considered the fastest prospest in the state of Mississippi. I haven't seen him play. He is listed as 5'-9.5" and 180 lb. I don't know how accurate the height and weight are; can he be similar to Prothro (listed as 5'8", 176lb on Bama roster)?

I think he's more of a Prothro type

T Prothro was used at RB mostly in HS and with his injury we need someone to fill that void next year. IMO one of the main reasons for our offenses problems was the loss of Pro,then JPC loss was the clincher. I believe with Caldwell move to c and the addition of AS and Grant the Offense will be even better next year!lJMHO what your thoughts Bayou!

One of the areas Coach Shula targeted is speed players. Prothro was definately a major weapon and with his loss we suffered. This class has more than one who fit this mold.

I have a small gripe. Its stupid, but how can Scout Kennedy call himself a recruiting analyst? (I'm not just saying this because he committed to Bama; I would be saying this wherever he went.) Terry Grant, per Scout, is ranked as the 71st best running back in the country!? He was regarded as the best football player in the state of MS for pete's sake. Yet ESPN ranks him as the 58th best RB in the country!? So, I think I understand this correctly  , there are (per Scout) 70 better RBs in the US than the best player in the state of MS. Right (in Mr. Evil voice).

Seriously, if your going to go through the trouble of having a website dedicated to recruiting, at least do some homework.
