Agree with the 'not if but when' for KS but I was thinking "focus-wise" for the game without any clutter.....

Cant ever say that going from a DC to a HC of a Big12 school is a big mistake. If the job is offered he would about have to take it. And I hope all of the Bama fans would wish him the best in that position if it does happen.

Dont believe we have to worry about this affecting the players in any way. Everything they see right now is being controlled and they probably have no idea that the chance of this happening is even out there right now.

Don't have a link, but he turned it down, or so he said. It was reported he is staying at Baylor.

That changed quickly...I don't think KS goes, when if he waits one more year he might get to go to Georgia. But, ya never know...there would be absolutely no "continuity" there, either, offensively.
As someone else said...it won't matter a bit. Bama's defense will still have the imprint of CNS - he will just plug someone else in KS's spot.

If he actually wanted the job, don't you think he would want to make an impression tonight. CKS and his defense will be ready. He might just be going through the process to gain experience.

I could honestly see KS fitting in better in the BIG 12 North...but what do I know. There's too much passing in the BIG 12 anyway. If he does decide to leave I think it's a great opportunity for him. Remember though that Texas Tech would simply be a stepping stone for him to go somewhere better if he really is a great head coach.

Also...last year Kirby Smart was our DC...not Kevin Steele. Steele was the Head Defensive Coach...but Smart was the Defensive Coordinator. So...take that for whatever it is worth.

Tubberville interviewed for the job, but as far as I know was never offered the job. He has been putting his name out for pretty much any opening that has came available, but has yet to get an offer that has went public

I am worried about this affecting the team tonight. I expect him to leave soon, and I think we will replace him. I just hope it is not a distraction now. These things always seem to have the worst timing.
