The 08 Recruiting Class

This 08 class is already very impressive. We are currently ranked number 4 in the country in recruiting with the addition of Kerry Murphy.

I think it will only get better with additional recruits but what about the recruits we already have improving their ratings.

I think the following players have real shot of improving their ratings which will help our ranking.

1. Burton Scott 5*
2. Devonta Bolton 5* He is tearing it up this year
3. Ivan Matchett 4* No brainer

Anybody have any other thoughts?

I think that Bolton will at least improve from a 5.9 to a 6.0

I also think that possibly Preyear and Square have good chance to become 4*. Square is already 4* on scout.

I don't think Bolton will get the 5th star, but Scott will. I think Barron has a chance to get a 5th star depending on how his season goes. You are definitely right about Matchett getting another star. Preyear could, also depends on his season. There is a big difference in where Square is ranked b/t scout and rivals, so it would not surprise me to see him either jump in rivals or fall sharply in scout. Either way, he is very athletic for his size and will be a solid NT when he gets into our S&C program.

Anybody know how Star is doing this season?

I could see this class easily ending up with three or four 5*.

1. Love
2. Julio
3. A. Brown. MAYBE
4. Scott
5. T.J. Bryant DOUBTFUL but possible.
