Any fans of The Contender? I love boxing and this has been a pretty good series. Last night was a real knock out with Jesse laying Anthony down on the mat. I had Anthony ahead on my score card but Jesse reached down and caught Anthony with a huge upper cut that snapped his head back. Anthony was up at the six count but you could tell he was done. Jesse had to lose almost 12 pounds to make the weight requirement for the match. That's a lot of weight to lose in a very short period of time. He was still a pound over at the weigh in and was given 3 hours to lose the last pound or forfeit the fight.

It's down to the final four and in my opinion they have the best four. Alfonso is my favorite but I feel Jesse is dangerous. Both Sergio and Peter advanced by split decisions and Peter is back only because of a vote. Alfonso won a unanimous decision over Peter in the first match.

I have watched it and it is very good. It is one of the first reality TV series that I actually like. The fights are really good and I like the creative editing of the fight and the shots of ringside that are thrown in.

I am looking forward to see who fights in the final in Caesar's Palace for the million bucks.

AWESEOME match last night. Anthony had it.. and the only way for him to lose was a KO.... and Jesse did that! AWESOME!!!

Jesse vs Sergio

The best of those matchups might be Alfonso vs either Jesse or Sergio. I don't think Peter has enough heart to fight again this quickly. Alfonso acts like he is on vacation. Sergio is showing no signs of wear and tear. Jesse came out of his match with no visible injuries but he has to be hurting, Anthony could hit.

I wonder how they will pair up the final two bouts? A challenge?

True... but it probably took a toll on his body losing all of that weight in such a short time! Plus, he will have the shortest rest period.

I can't remember where I saw it, but someone posted they had inside sources on who the final 2 were back when there were 8 guys left. This is a spoiler so don't read if don't want to know:




They said it was Manfredo and Sergio in the final 2! Is it true? I don't know, but this was posted a while back, so we'll see!
