I'm going to say no if Saban does win one during his tenure. By his logic, the job ain't finished. Erect the statue when his job is done. His plans don't stop at one.

There is no way a person like him would let this happen and The Bama brass will have to pull something like this off while he is no longer anywhere near the loop.

When you get down to your last dollar let me know and we'll bet. If CNS brings home #13 I think the statue will, and should be, erected ASAP after the victory. I don't understand why you would put it off. Then each year they can add another date to the space.

I'd take that bet. In fact, I'd like to nominate you to be the one to announce CNS that you wanted to erect his statue while he was still coaching.

Why would I have anything to do with it? I think his name should be put there but the statue will have to wait until he retires.

No, they will not rename the stadium but, they may add to it: Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. :wink:
