Something is wrong with Freeze. This guy has regressed as a coach from his days at OM.
Maybe?

He was good-not-great at OM pre-NIL, but the game has changed.

Also worth noting his offense is largely unchanged from what it was a decade ago and most defenses have gotten much better at defending that style of O.

He's literally not a great coach, never has been - just got lucky against Bama a couple of times he's made a career off of it.

No , not really. He is the same coach that people overhype because he beat Nick Saban twice, mostly because of untimely penalties and unforced errors. Before Auburn, His P5(p4) record was 37-25 overall and 19-21 conference record . Yes, he has a losing record in the SEC. Not really the record Of Greatness.

Speaking of his defense, I noticed against Arkansas (or was it Oklahoma) that they were rushing only two and gave up a long TD just like the "grave digger" last year. I don't see a problem here! o_O:rolleyes:

Freeze is a high, bobbled snap and quick, panicked throw that is tipped and miraculously caught and run in for a TD to never being discovered.

He owes it all to that one play! No wonder the school that survives on voodoo luck hired him. Perfect match!
Voodoo luck. Probably the best descriptive term I've heard yet for the goobers.

Did ya'll hear Kane yesterday talking about his dad's defenses being a leader in scoring D and forcing TOs while at Ole Miss?

We lost 1 fumble and had 1 pick against them in 2014 (while scoring only 17 points) and had 5 TOs in the bonkers 2015 game. It's interesting that Freeze gets *all* of the credit for beating Saban, yet Wommack's D gets none

Freeze's resume is essentially high school coach, hired at Ole Miss to cheat on a biblical scale and get some wins, managed two fluky (early season) wins against Saban, never did anything with it, got team put on probation, then spent a bunch of years at Liberty. On the one hand not many people have two victories against Saban, but we all know Saban's teams were sometimes vulnerable and most years we would always drop one. He only had two seasons where he ran the table. I mean who was coaching La Monroe in 2007? Wiki says his name was Charlie Weatherby. I think he's available. Is he next in line?
