The Good- Our special teams played one hell of a game! Christian Jones was awesome. Cody Mandel had a cannon for a leg. The kick off coverage gave VA tech bad field position all night.

The Bad- Our offensive line did not play well at all. There is nothing else that I can say without getting banned from this web site for a while.

The Ugly- The difference between how good VA tech's defense was versus how bad VA tech's offense was. It was a tale of two cities....

The Good - Christion Jones - I mean, Wow!
The Bad - the O-Line - but they will come together.
The Ugly - Manziel's attitude/Clowney's performance - both deserved a mention

Good- the defense- only one big play. (went with something other than ST)

Bad- the OL

Ugly- the passing game. Some effect by OL but 10-24 is just plain ugly regardless of the situation.

The good- Jones had his best game yet. Cody had great punting and took down that guy to save a TD. Collins was great on special teams. And the Defense played well together.
ETA: how could I forget Sunseri! He is one of my favorites, he is a ball hogger and I love it.

The Bad-o line needs improvement

The ugly- the punk that plays in Texas.

The Good- Christion Jones and the Bama Defense

The Bad- Our O-Line (mainly the LEFT side) and D-Line

The Ugly- The whole left side of the O-Line yet again.

I thought Cyrus struggled which was odd, and Arie looked lost to me at times. There was a few times he didn't even seem to touch anyone. I thought Kellen Williams did great in his spot when he came in, in the 2nd half. Shepherd seemed to do fairly well at times, better than I thought.

If we don't shore up these Offensive Line problems we are TOAST in two weeks. I remember one play that told it all tonight about our O-Line, Altee Tenpenny getting his first carry and having to try and juke and shake 3 VT players before he could even get to the line. VT dared Coach Nuss by putting 8 or more in the box and we obliged them by running right at them. We made sure A.J. stayed on the run all night long.

I have no doubt that Coach Saban will have it fixed by College Station though. RTR!

The good - Christian Jones & Vinnie Sunseri, the D as a whole

The bad - O-line

The ugly - momentum is lost, A Kuandjo, AJs ingrown nail

The Good - Christion Jones. The kid is special. He is electric. He's an amazing asset.

The Bad - The anemic offense. Which is a result of...

The Ugly - Our offensive line..

Now, as I said in the post game thread it's not time for the sky to fall. We struggled mightily last year against WKU up front, and VA Tech has one of the two best fronts we'll see all year (along with LSU). When you play the best front seven you'll see in week one, and can walk away with a win...it'll be okay in the long run.

Also... Watching some replay this morning I noticed, along with analysts actually, that the two biggest problems up front were Ryan Kelly and Austin Shepard. I'll elaborate in another thread...

The Good - Special Teams mainly Christion Jones and Landon Collins. Honorable mention for Devall's form tackle on that punt return.

The Bad- Offensive Line and Playcalling. I saw RTR91 make a point that I thought of but is probably not realistic, that we were forcing the oline to block more than they could just to make them tougher. To me the playcalling was that bad that my mind went to that length to try and explain it.

The Ugly- VA Tech's receivers, our teams body language throughout the game, AJ not stepping into hardly any of his throws.

1-0 and injury free.

Only 200 yards of total offense.

Kansas State losing to North Dakota State.

I preface this by saying that BAMA football has never been more dominant at any other point in our history, and has never has the quality of talent across the board in a 5-year stretch than we do right now. And our success has made us very selfish, and Coach Saban has rubbed off on all of us with the perfectionist attitude toward our football team.

The Almost Excellent: Special teams. Still can't get the ball into the endzone. Our coverage can make up for it sometimes, and may even cause a fumble from time to time, but would rather see the ball on the 20.
The Great: Our defense. we are loaded everywhere, but corner and nose are a concern.
The Good: Tech's defense and the Tech coaches game plan for our offense.
The Fair: Cooper. It will not be as easy for him this year if we can't give AJ time to set. The secondaries with also be ready for Cooper. He dropped 2 or 3 catchable passes.
The Poor: Fowler's blocking and Fowler's running.
The Bad: Now the rest of the def coordinators know how to gameplan our offense.
The Ugly: The big uglies. Has to be said. They lived up to their moniker.
The Very Ugly: Derrick Henry's blocking. He looked lost out there.

Part II
The Good: The Big Uglies have film now, and they can work toward correcting mistakes.
The Bad: If they don't do a better job, watch out.
The Ugly: In 2 weeks, Fulton gets burned again or we call blitz and stunt after blitz and stunt.

The Good -- a win and the play of special teams. BTW Manchester City won and Manchester United Lost.

The Bad -- generally speaking the offense.

The Ugly -- Coaching staff did not appear to make sufficient adjustments after halftime

Good points, I'm going with this as well...only I'm not a soccer fan, sorry

Kickoffs were actually great. A touchback gives the team the ball at the 25, not the 20 and I don't think VT ever made it that far, so it was better for the kickers to kick high and have the coverage tackle them rather than kick it out of the end zone.
