A solid coach in a good not great situation should run from Florida like they Ebola until they restructure the entire athletic department.I think it all depends on who they think they can get to replace him. And you can bet they are looking.

I retract my comment about Mark Stoops being a good replacement coach for Florida. Just turned the TV on, and Kentucky is getting embarrassed at home by South Carolina, which is bad.Mark Stoops could probably make Florida relative and competitive again if the gators decide to make a change.
Just watched the highlights and Lagway has really good mechanics Bazza.Hey we got a new QB, DJ Lagway!
18/25 for 456 yards last night! And no interceptions!
Included in that...he hit 6 different receivers for 85, 77, 44, 41, 40, and 36 yard pass plays. Guy's got an arm and some good decision-making!
I know I know......it was only an FCS opponent......and there's still a lot to work on. Lot of "new guys" trying to learn.
And I haven't changed my mind on Billy.
Our starter, Mertz, will be cleared to play next week, so going to be interesting to see how coach handles things.
But hey......conference play starts next week and I think we can compete!![]()
Who knows except Jimmy Sexton. Those Bama transfers sure got the shaft though, man.So out of curiosity, was Mike Norvell seriously a consideration for the job at the Capstone or did he just use the situation to get a raise or extension before he got exposed in the next season? After watching his pressers this week, I would say we DODGED a Bullet on that one.
FIFY!!!!!!Who knows except Jimmy Sexton. Those Bama transfers sure shafted themselves though, man.
He wasn't remotely considered. Jimmy Sexton was just doing his job...So out of curiosity, was Mike Norvell seriously a consideration for the job at the Capstone or did he just use the situation to get a raise or extension before he got exposed in the next season? Roydell was the only one who really should have left. His time was done here, but the others would have gotten significant playing time.FIFY!!!!!!
We sure did dodge a bullet there. Norvell would have continued our Mike curse for sureSo out of curiosity, was Mike Norvell seriously a consideration for the job at the Capstone or did he just use the situation to get a raise or extension before he got exposed in the next season? Honestly, I'm not sure we did - I'm not sure Norvell was ever really considered. I've only heard rumors from FSU fans so who knows? We sure did dodge a bullet there. Norvell would have continued our Mike curse for sure
same here. I have only heard other fans say Norvell was our choice and DeBoer was like or 4th or 5th choice after "everyone turned us down".Honestly, I'm not sure we did - I'm not sure Norvell was ever really considered. I've only heard rumors from FSU fans so who knows?
Is it just me or do you automatically think he's Bulldog from Frasier when you see him with the headset on?? I kid! I kid!....sort ofHonestly, I'm not sure we did - I'm not sure Norvell was ever really considered. I've only heard rumors from FSU fans so who knows?
Byrne put out "feelers" to see what was what. He touched base with a handful of coaches. But DeBoer was who he wanted from the beginning. No one else was seriously considered. So out of curiosity, was Mike Norvell seriously a consideration for the job at the Capstone or did he just use the situation to get a raise or extension before he got exposed in the next season? And there's those pesky buy-outs. And slim pickin's for a decent coach. His contract is for 6 years. They may be stuck with him. He's done some good recruiting, so we'll see.I really think Hugh Freeze is on his last leg. Since he came to Auburn he has had two losing seasons.
He has not beaten a Power 5 opponent with a winning record AS OF TODAY. This could be called melty goodness. The Freeze ls melting.
but he beat Saban twice and should have beaten him 37 times. Sure they didn't meet 37 times, but facts don't matter. And there's those pesky buy-outs. And slim pickin's for a decent coach. His contract is for 6 years. They may be stuck with him. He's done some good recruiting, so we'll see.
