I agree. She's living in her own little hell right now: she's nothing without her husband and nothing with him. That's quite possibly punishment enough for her crimes.

Unrelated point: the Dems had a movement candidate in 2008, and they nominated him over Hillary. They also had a movement candidate in 2016, but this time nominated Clinton instead. I was a Hillary supporter in the primary, but I think Bernie would've won last night.

It depends on how he would have played it, but I doubt it mostly because Trump still tapped into the north Florida, upper Michigan, UP Wisconsin, and the other blue collared folks in the Midwest. Those are not typical concerns for Dems. I think Bernie would've taken Pennsylvania, but Michigan and Florida would be tossups that still favor trump.

I think democrats got to comfortable with PS trends.

Btw- I think you're right.

And this notion of ideology is probably now so.....80s.......that it isn't worth discussing whether a candidate is 'conservative' or 'liberal' enough, whether a real socialist or a real fascist. People vote for who they want no matter how discombobulated it is with the situation at hand. And a Chicago-based Republican friend of mine said the key stat to the whole thing is that 71% of people make less money now than they did in 1999 and it's not an endorsement even of his own conservative views but anger at BOTH the left AND right establishment.

I suspect a chunk of Bernie voters went to Trump - more than anyone imagined would happen.

This morning she's realizing that she's 69 years old and wasted the last forty years in pursuit of something she'll never have.

Serves her right given how she treated Bill's accusers.

I agree that Trump will not pursue this. I think from this point forward the only ones who will be in his cross hairs will be those who go out of their way to obstruct what he feels is progress for the country.

Trump is a fighter and a competitor but when the smoke clears after battle more than anything he is a businessman who equates everything to efficiency.

The voters of the party got taken for a ride by the people who controlled it, the ones who promised they had everything figured out and sneeringly dismissed anyone who suggested otherwise. They promised that Hillary Clinton had a lock on the Electoral College. These people didn’t know what they were talking about, and too many of us in the media thought they did.
