2016 Election - Clinton: The Hillary Clinton Thread

Sure it's an example of federally-run healthcare, and I used it as such. But wouldn't be my preferred model for universal health care.
I get it, but my point is we have an example of US federally funded and managed health care system and it's horrible, yet somehow we're supposed to believe if they make it bigger it will be better. Makes little sense.

Like Hillary's followers/coven... I am not a supporter of either one of the front runners, but as long as one of them gets 270 electoral votes, this country loses...and Canada isn't nearly far enough away. A vote for Johnson might be good for the conscience, but isn't going to matter in this election--maybe later, if the GOP implodes. We each have to figure out which choice to make...good luck with that...I know I will need some...

There are a few more emails that were found, but only 15,000....Surely none of them are security risks or pay for play form the Clinton Foundation.

Since they're supposed to be released before the election, I guess we'll find out.

On a broader note, I've always found it interesting that, while Clinton gets continually raked over the coals for this perception of dishonesty (which is fair), there seems to be a certain inequity with this criticism. After all, only one candidate has been sued over 35,000 times. Only one candidate has been accused and admitted to not paying his contractors for their work. Only one candidate has refused to release his tax returns. And this November, only one candidate will be standing trial for defrauding thousands of Americans.

can't we just all agree that both of these idiots are corrupt liars and both are horrible choices for president? everyone vote third party and make a statement. stop being sheep.

They are both as crooked as Lombard St. I agree with DzynKingRTR. You can't make one better by pointing out the flaws in the other.

Sure. Trump is a slimy used car salesman, and no one who has been in politics as long as Clinton can possibly be pure as white snow.

As for voting third party, that's a nice ideal. The pragmatist in me says that's fine in a solid red or blue state, but counts as much as just staying home in any mildly competitive state. It assumes you view Clinton and Trump as equivalent options, and though some might, I certainly don't.

Polls show it is not some, but the vast majority that view them as equivalent options. Bad options.

I wasn't trying to, sorry if it came across that way.

This point might be more appropriate in Trump's thread, but it bridges both. I think Trump's most used defense mechanism is projection, and for some reason he is never called on it. He slams Clinton for being dishonest, but repeated investigations have not corroborated that view, while he's on record saying he cheated contractors out of money. Trump calls her a criminal, but he is the one on trial for fraud. He questions her health despite a clean bill of health from her doctor, while Trump's medical note has every indication of being either fake or so hyperbolic and devoid of medical detail that's it's useless. I just find it strange that no one calls him on this.

This attitude is precisely why we're stuck with a two-party system that perpetuates voting for the 'lesser of two evils'.

most think they only have 2 options. most are voting or are saying they are going to vote for what they think is "the lesser of 2 evils".
Of the 4 candidates who will appear on most or all ballots, I think Clinton would make the best president. It's rather presumptuous to assume I didn't even consider Johnson or Stein.

as much as people like to wish for it, i just don't see a multi-party (e.g. 3 +) system being any kind of panacea. imo, it would just be a splintering of "coalitions" that currently exist in the two parties and those coalitions would soon band together to pursue greater power/control and it would probably look a lot like what we have now.

again you say baaaaaaaaaa.

if she had an R beside her name instead of a D you would think she would be the horrible.

I didn't say anything about you, other than the attitude you posted is why we're stuck with two parties.

Pragmatic as it may seem, what you posted is why we're choosing between two people who have the lowest likability ratings of any candidates in history.
