[ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4737332"]Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin says NCAA recruiting investigation is a compliment - ESPN[/ame]I am amazed at how quickly Lane Kiffin has turned Tennessee into whatever it is they are. Multiple arrests, possibly sending girls to do who knows what with recruits, running his smart a.. mouth everytime he sees a microphone, already has like 6 violations prior to this. I hope the NCAA digs into this to the max. Have a feeling UCheat is gonna get the boom lowered on them.
In my opinion this guy is a classless spoiled brat who trys to break every rule he can get away with and who will end up dragging Tennessee down with him in the short time he is there.
Oh well i guess you get what you pay for.
Tennessee football coach Lane Kiffin said he takes investigations of the school's recruiting practices as a compliment.
Kiffin said the strength of Tennessee's recruiting class, ranked by most analysts near the top nationally, has caused the unusual amount of interest in the Volunteers' methods, which are under investigation by the NCAA and the Southeastern Conference.
"I think when it comes to recruiting, we're at the highest level, and I think that people really want to know what we're doing," Kiffin said after practice Saturday. "They want to know how are we able to get interest from so many great players, and sign so many great players, so I think you have a lot of people coming at us."
Now that ought to go over real well in NCAA circles.Tennessee football coach Lane Kiffin said he takes investigations of the school's recruiting practices as a compliment.
LOL
If that's the case, then he's trying to recycle history, because it has already been done years ago."Cutting edge" tactics. Or I guess that's the way it seems to him...
Funny...since it has yet to be determined if there has been any wrong doing. Lets fire him for secondaries and having a big mouth. If I were a UT fan I would be embarrassed. Kiffin is going to ruin that program, which wouldn't bother me.
If I were over the administration at UT, I would fire Kiffin for breach of contract for embarrassing the program and NCAA issues. I think they could have a valid argument for not having to pay his buyout. I would cut my losses now.
I just don't understand how the UT faithful continue to look the other way and act like Kiffin is going to get it done. He's a loose canon and his recent statements as well as his numerous others going back to early this year are troubling. It not only embarrasses UT, but also the entire SEC.Funny...since it has yet to be determined if there has been any wrong doing. Lets fire him for secondaries and having a big mouth.
Makes sense to me.
If a major sanction comes from this, then I agree with you. Until then, I respectfully disagree.
