Why anyone would pay more for a baked potato wrapped in plastic.
You talking about PotatOH's?

Those things are awesome. They stay fresh longer, and they're super easy to cook. You just peel the sticker off, throw it in the microwave, and in 3 minutes you've got a pretty good "baked" potato. The sweet potatoes are really good, too.

Why does that idiot behind you lay down on his horn because you made a right turn in front of him?

Why is it that at a traffic light the only person in line not paying attention to the light is the one at the head of the line? :rolleye2:

Why do people in heavy foot traffic areas, malls, supermarkets, dept. stores, etc, tend to walk on the left. Seems like having to drive on the right would influence people to also walk on the right. :conf3:

Why do women at the supermarket wait until their order is completely totaled before they even start writing their check and then have to be asked for their drivers license?

Why do some people, even after hearing me say my last name still insist on pronouncing it incorrectly?
Maybe you're pronouncing it incorrectly? :)

I actually got into a discussion about this the other day. Someone asked how to say a last name and I gave the correct answer. My coworker says that he has friends with that last name and they say it another way. I told him that they're saying it wrong, and he says it's their name, how can they be saying it wrong?

It's simple. They, or their ancestors, forgot how to say it properly. :)

If a surname has an origin, then it has a correct pronunciation. The same thing with city names. I don't care if 10,000 people in Vienna, Georgia say "V-eye-enna" it's V-ee-enna. :)

Why do radio stations have a list of set songs and play the same ones over and over and over?

Why do guys dip snuff and carry around a disgusting spit cup/bottle like a Linus blanket?

Why do banks open open all four drive through lanes but only have one teller working all four?

Why do most "handicapped" people walk into the store and then get into a cart to drive around? (No offense to anyone who really needs this service)

Don't come to Oxford & pronounce it that way unless you want to be corrected.:biggrin2:

Oxford is in Lafayette County and they all pronounce it La-FAY-ette. When I first moved hear I was corrected on regular basis.:D

actually people are pronouncing it wrong in a different way than ever before. my last name starts with a "G", certain people have now started pronouncing it with the "J" sound. this is brand new and I don't know what to make of it. especially when I correct them and they still do it?

Hmm. Without actually knowing your last name it's hard to say. However, maybe they just like seeing your reaction to it? :)

Our last name usedto be pronounced "Jer-dan" but at the time it was spelled Jourdan and someone dropped the 'u', changing the local enunciation to Jerdan. Someone thankfully started re-pronouncing it "Jordan".

And my family in Arab will disagree.....it's AY-rab. ;)
