Where is Harrison projected to go in the draft? Has to be top-10 right?
I think he'd be nuts not to go pro.
My thoughts exactly. I am against this NIL crap and it is worse than anything in the nfl. It is like free agency with no salary cap.I guess what bugs me is that people keep calling paying the players NIL. It's not, it's using NIL as a front for simple funneling cash to the players.
This is why I ordered a LANK shirt - that's real NIL. Same with Milroe's CVS advertisement - that's NIL.
Simply throwing cash at players under the guise of NIL is a bastardization of what it is, but of course the NCAA won't do a thing about it.
I hope Bama wins it all this year because I don't know how much longer I'll have interest in CFB.
Top 5 for sure.Where is Harrison projected to go in the draft? Has to be top-10 right?

To quote Coach Saban - "Is this what we want college football to be?" Now, having said that, I, and I have quite a few years on you, I watched tennis progress from sham amateurism to all professional. College football had progressed almost to the same "wink, wink, nod, nod" state that amateur tennis had. We might not like what we see when we see the Band-Aid ripped off, but the rip-off was bound to happen....Your very last statement is rapidly becoming my own thoughts. I`m 75 and, as far as I know, am in good health. I am convinced that I will live to see the day when ALL college football players will be on a (handsome ) salary, in addition to NIL deals for the higher profile players, and with some form of collective bargaining. Free agency is already in play. IMHO, any resemblance of the " traditional ", school linked college football game will be gone within 5 years, it will simply be even more of a minor league for the NFL. The game that many of us " more senior " posters on Tidefans grew up with and loved is all but dead now. Or at least almost so.
It will force change to a more rational model...My thoughts exactly. I am against this NIL crap and it is worse than anything in the nfl. It is like free agency with no salary cap.
I agree. The numbers are escalating at an unsustainable rate and this will almost certainly force change. It will force change to a more rational model...

It will force lawsuits. NCAA created this monster andIt will force change to a more rational model...
For me it’s not so much the music student not getting an add, but more the use of students in things that make the university money for which they receive no monetary compensation. So for example, a bunch of grad students may work on a project in, say, engineering and the university may make money on it, but those students don’t get anything out of it except experience.Didn't the NCAA used to ban "impermissible benefits" or something like that? Sorry, I can't remember the technical term it was called. I get why NIL was started, but goodness, what is it turning in to? What about the student who is a music major who is practicing many hours a day honing their craft? They don't get a chance at some sort of NIL deal. Couldn't a major musical instrument manufacturer put their name and likeness on instrument ads? Neither does a biochemistry major who might find a medical cure for something while a graduate student. Could they get their picture on an ad for a miracle drug of some sort and make thousands? Does that make sense? I'm sure I'm being totally unrealistic, but it's sort of a two-edged sword with me. Just my 2 cents is all and it ain't worth much...
One thing I’m curious about with these guys who transfer all the time for NIL- are they actually completing a degree in anything other than “football Most schools don’t take credits from other schools, even for the same degree programs. I mean 3 mil in 4 years by 21 is awesome, but if you aren’t good enough for the NFL, which most of these kids are not, what are they going to do? That 3mil is not going to last forever, and with the discipline that these kids likely have it probably won’t last 5 yrs post college. They are going to be broke and not have a degree. No way, other than MLB (?) can 17-18 year olds make this kind of money. In three years, they can make three million - or more. Calling it insanity is denigrating insanity.
Its all about the benjamins- sure most still want to win but they got an expensive car, nice house and a couple of smart investments and they’re set for life, if they never play a single down professionally.
Only people who can stop it are the fans, and that will never happen. But it’s not a “sport†anymore, and the only “winning†involved is quantified by how much money you have when you finish/leave college.
Mediocre talent, no NIL freshman year but starts and does well, second year better and then spins the wheel of fortune. Someone in dire need of any experience at his position throws money at him, and we’re off…
Hey, good for him. It’s not often you see kids give up football at this level, but if that is where he wants to be, all the more power to him. I wish him all the best. I hate it for him that he didn’t play his best in his chance to be the starter, but he seems like a good kid and I hope he excels in Lacrosse at ND.
Some how this makes all the sense in the world
And maybe a big 235 lb bruiser blocker running back.Hope we lay out the red carpet. Looks like a good pick up if we could pull it off. We have plenty to sell. Would like to see a couple each on the O and D lines. Can`t have enough of those guys.
