Watched Trent Richardson this past Friday
I went to the Niceville vs. Escambia game this Friday. I am an Niceville alumni (c/o 94) but went solely to see Trent. Niceville is a much better team overall than Escambia so I knew Trent would have a tough time. Niceville won big, but Trent was very impressive. I don't know his stats, but it looked like he got around 100 yards. Niceville was loading the box every play because Escambia was never a threat to pass (their QB was not impressive at all). Every offensive series, Trent pretty much ran up the middle on 1st and 2nd down and then took a toss right or left. He had very little help blocking and was running through 2 or 3 defenders just to get 2 to 5 yards. He did have a couple of long runs when he actually had a hole to run through and some of his short runs were very impressive. He is very explosive and agile and physically much more gifted than the other players. The Niceville RB was doing great, but he had holes that a VW could drive though and a QB who threw the ball well. If Trent was running for Niceville he would have ran for 500 yards, no kidding. He did fumble a toss one time, but I thought he did great considering what he was up against. Can't wait to see him wearing crimson.
BTW, I ran into several Bama fans including one fella who was there from Tuscaloosa (He must've been vacationing in Destin, FL). Very cool to see so much support at a High School game.
Roll Tide !!
