Bama - that's so "up in the air" - Sometimes it is, & sometimes it's $1.00. Sure does save on a parking problem & on walking a long ways for those coming from out of town though....
may be free or $1, but the buses from, for example, McFarland Mall cost several dollars, my memory is $6. We've been using them the last couple of years or so. They do save a lot of hassle, and their logistics have improved a lot...
Thanks again for all the help yesterday & now for ANOTHER question...
What way do you use to come to Tuscaloosa from Hutnsville (or visa/versa) - I've heard of a couple of short-cuts exits some people use & wonder if they're worth the try when going up that way. NO RUSH on an answer! RJ
is in good enough shape now that the fastest way is through B'ham. I second Jpas that #69 is faster, barring a major mishap on I20. AU game year before last, JessN and I were driving down through B'ham (he was in Scottsboro then and had driven over to meet me). There was a major wreck, tieing up the interstate for hours - some people didn't make kickoff. Jess took us from B'ham to T-town without touching the interstate. From time to time, we could look over at the cars parked on I-20 Park 'n Walk. I was impressed...

Once I used that exit towards Hartselle, (highway 36 or something) ...Couldn't really decide if it shaved off a few minutes to make it worth the little 2-lane farm-road or not.....
Thanks for the info..You have become a MAJOR fountain of information in my life this last 24 hours!
is a death-trap. I two-lane farm road is what it should be, but a lot of 18 wheelers use it as a cut-through to I-65. I don't know what its fatality rate is per annum, but it's got to be up there. We used to use it a lot before I-565 was completed, but now we never do. We live on the north end of Monte Sano, so it's "easy-on" to the interstate for us. A lot of people in south Huntsville still use it to access I-65...
