No, I get that, I said as much above.what they pushed out is an insane and dangerous concept. pointing this out is not "tds"
Is it painful? I've never really thought about it.Let me tell you something: there are fewer more ghastly ways to die slowly, but relatively quickly (e.g. not burning, etc) than a Tylenol overdose.
the idea that acetaminophen might be causal to neurodivergence is not what trump is saying. people are laughing at trump and rfk jr being buffoons. so yeah, i guess in a way, they're responding this way because trump said it.No, I get that, I said as much above.
My point is so many are laughing about the idea that acetaminophen might actually be causal to neurodivergence, and the reality is the only reason they're responding this way is because Trump said it. We don't actually know.
But I 100% agree it was stupid to suggest it without actual studies / proof.
It’s catastrophic liver failure over about 10-14 days as your body shuts down. What happens is you have these teenagers who pull the old pill taking to get attention and while aspirin is bad, rarely will even a whole bottle kill you. But a lot of them think Tylenol is the same thing. And so by the time it’s been figured out, they no longer want to die, and they don’t have any choice to live. It’s basically like suddenly getting liver, cancer and dying rapidly from it.Is it painful? I've never really thought about it.
I'm thinking this has something to do with a word that rhymes with "surge." That or something is on the horizon that should have all of us tightening our sphincters.
Happy hour.
Bad Donnie! Bad, Bad Donnie!!President Donald Trump is reportedly scrambling to sway the three Republican congresswomen who signed the petition to force a vote ordering the release of all government files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
My wife almost died of hyponatremia. She has had problems with kidney stones and tends to over-hydrate because of it. She also has sodium-sensitive hypertension, so she tends to avoid salt anyway. She had a colonoscopy and then started to excrete a stone. I was not aware of the amount of water she'd drunk until she started to lose coherence. In the ER, she threw a grand mal and then lapsed into a coma. After a bunch of tests, mostly aimed toward stroke, then analyzing her electrolytes, they were supplementing her sodium as fast as they could. I couldn't spend the night at NICU, but I didn't really sleep, anyway. I can't describe the feeling the next morning, when she opened her eyes and sleepily said "Good Morning." She thinks her memory is slightly damaged as a result of the episode...Too much dihydrogen monoxide can certainly kill... that is water! Hyponatremia can cause necrosis in the brain. Very bad.
Tylenol extra strength was brought out in the 1970s and is perilously close to a toxic dose. You can spill over with other issues that effect the liver and alcohol consumption can kill you at the maximum dose of 4 grams (8 tabs) per day if you drink heavily. I've seen a couple of Tylenol deaths and they are awful.
It is a good point to be made that there are questions about acetaminophen in pregnancy. Earlier studies suggested a potential role for a relation to autism and neurodivergence, but the confounding factors are extremely difficult to work through. Women who take lots of acetaminophen typically have multiple medical issues, substance use, and other issues that affect the risk of autism.
The larger and more methodologically rigorous single studies in the last few years show very little effect or no effect. Particularly the large Swedish study reported just a few years ago.
We also know from the net sum of research into causation that 50-90% (likely about 80%) of the risk is from genetic factors. Other factors such as advanced maternal age have also been found.
Therefore, if acetaminophen plays a role in influencing autistic risk, it is very small and almost certainly doesn't outweigh the risk of appropriately dosed acetaminophen usage in pregnancy. It is not a primary cause of the disorder!
All of life is a trade off between risks.
My brother in law recently lost a kidney due to cancer and his remaining "good" kidney is about 30% effective. He has eliminated nearly all sodium intake and drinks a ton of water. I'm going to clip and save this post and show it to him. Last time I tried to warn him that too much water intake can be bad for you, he blew me off with a grunt. My wife almost died of hyponatremia. Yikes! I hope that stays settled. There are a good number of health influencers who push way more hydration than a typical person needs. Plus, you need salt if you push it. When I'm out mountain biking I'll use salt replacements for longer rides. My wife almost died of hyponatremia. She has had problems with kidney stones and tends to over-hydrate because of it. I used to carry bacon with me for the same reason, but mountain lions kept chasing me, so I had to stop. When I'm out mountain biking I'll use salt replacements for longer rides.
Despite the blue... That does sound like something to try this weekend... Yum!I used to carry bacon with me for the same reason, but mountain lions kept chasing me, so I had to stop.
Yes, but these clowns are like the Vietnam veteran who weighs over 400 pounds and had an A1C of 8.4 and is clearly diabetic secondary to obesity and wants his disability increased "because I was exposed to Agent Orange!"It is a good point to be made that there are questions about acetaminophen in pregnancy.

Bacon is an appropriate addition to any occasion and if those sodium levels are bottoming out, I can't think of a more delicious rescue.Despite the blue... That does sound like something to try this weekend... Yum!
