Yeah what kind of psychopath, ruins a good bourbon with any kind of soda (or "coke" for you freaks that call every carbonated beverage "coke")
It depends on the bourbon. I like mixing with Wild Turkey 101. If I'm in a sipping mood, I'll pour some Woodford Reserve, neat. I like Maker's on the rocks, too.

Maybe because Bill Clinton is on it, too? Or that it might blowback onto Hunter or someone else?

What's funny is there's a veneer in this question when it's asked by most (no reflection on you) that Trump is some victim of political persecution blah blah blah. He isn't. He's a whiny little witch, a toddler with a title, the poster child for why birth control should be covered by health plans.

Besides - if 34 felonies don't sink a guy....

Trump's narcissism again prevails.

It's just as fair of me to ask:
- why didn't Trump release it earlier when he was President last time?
- why did the Attorney General claim something was on her desk she now claims didn't exist?

See, we can both draw conclusions from rhetorical arguments but that doesn't prove either one.

But let's be honest, who has more to "not lose" by hiding it, Biden or Trump?

Trump since nobody thinks Biden went to Epstein Island, a subject Trump has talked about over and over and over and over again. Which kinda suggests it's an obsession with him.....
I get what you are saying with who has more to lose Trump or Biden. I agree Biden’s on no list. You also make a good point about Trump not releasing it in his first term. If there is a “list” the names on it must be terrifying for neither party to be willing to drop the hammer.

Your points do make me question if there is any list at all, and if there is it would crash everyone and everything.

I assumed from the jump there's no list.

Until Trump suddenly became more defensive than OJ in the Bronco about it all.

He's attacking the so-called "deplorables," but if they don't endorse pedophilia, they're not as deplorable as those who do.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he campaign on this? I admit, I paid little attention to him before the election, but I'm reasonably certain he did.

He had it out there as a "taunt," but I think it wasn't taken all that seriously simply because he does that with so many things.''

Trump won the only kind of race he could have won - the other side kept pulling pins on their own hand grenades and wondering why they kept blowing up.

I have constantly equated the Democrats with Wile E. Coyote. Since before the start of the election season, their carefully laid traps have done nothing to help them. The so-called NY felonies? Even Bill Maher and Andrew Cuomo admitted they were horse *#^& charges and this would turn Trump into a martyr. (Spoiler alert: it did.) I openly laugh at anyone who believes E. Jean Carroll. Judge Engoron valuing MAL at a mere $18 million? There are only two types of people who claim to agree: liars and stupid people.

The documents case was going great until the revelation that Biden did the same thing (as a senator and VP, not a president) and thus the great double standard was created and it doomed the state's case; perhaps not directly, but it contributed. Well, that and Jack Smith's evidence tampering. Don't even get me started on that ridiculous J6 Committee. And the hell of it is, literally none of this was necessary. Trump gave them all the ammunition they needed, but they just couldn't leave well enough alone and take what the defense gave them.

Toss in not one, but two assassination attempts and the American people did rally to the guy, as distasteful as you find the idea. Personally I saw this coming a mile away and I predicted that Trump would win convincingly and it would be the Democrats who made it happen. Now, for better or for worse, he's president again and the question remains: Have the Dems learning anything from all this? Considering that they continue to double-down on the wrong side of every 80/20 issue, I'm going to say no. All this copium I'm hearing from the media about how the mid-terms are going to be a blood-bath for the Reps? I don't see how it's possible. The overall approval rating for the (D) party is still in the crapper last I checked. Their only hope is for the Reps in general (and Trump in particular) to crap the bed in Chernobyl-like fashion.

I'm sure you've noticed that I don't hold Trump in contempt at the level you do and there's a reason for that. In my opinion, Trump isn't the problem, he's the symptom of a much larger problem which is a system that produces politicians like Trump, Biden, Obama and Dubya. Feel free to pick any of them apart, but at the end of the day, they didn't damage this once-proud republic by themselves. The very fact that a MTG or a Jasmine Crockett are even in Congress at all should tell us that something has gone horribly wrong here. It's a shame this country doesn't have a backup we can use to restore the republic back to when it was most stable.

Amen. You can intelligently argue points from both sides of the aisle, meet in the middle, and take care of people while building an egalitarian society. What we have now is bizzaro world.

I don't disagree with you, either with your points or (probably) regarding Trump.

The problem in his particular case is that he just LIES so much and GASLIGHTS so much that he's sorta protected now from being thought to be a nursing home patient. After all, did he forget or was he just lying and trying the only tactic he knows, insulting people? I'm serious - are you really 100% SURE he FORGOT or was he just trying to blame something on Biden?

Furthermore, let me add two points since this has become a common theme on this board:

1) The issue was NOT "Biden forgets things", not in isolation.

The problem was NEVER "Biden forgot X."

The problem was:
- September 2022 - asked a representative killed in a car wreck if she was present, invited her family to the White House as a mea culpa and then took them on an interesting tour of the space between two doors.
- May 2023 - stumbled over a sandbag at the Air Force Academy commencement
- June 2023 - at a fundraiser, Biden's face locks (McConnell style)
- Feb 2024 - a special prosecutor (Robert Hur) refuses to prosecute Biden because he's mentally incompetent, after he couldn't remember when his son died OR the years he was VP
- June 10, 2024 - Biden freezes at a Juneteenth meeting
- June 15, 2024 - Obama has to take Biden by the hand at a fundraiser and lead him (which is what led that greatest ever political consultant George Clooney to demand his withdrawal)
- Biden looked like a ghost at the June 27 debate with Trump and ambled like a nursing home patient to the stage
- Biden claimed nobody in the military died under him, "forgetting" Afghanistan apparently
- said "every single solitary person eligible for what I’ve been able to do with Covid" (WTH?)
- said "we finally beat Medicare"

I'm sorry, but you folks trying to draw an equivalence AT THIS POINT (maybe not later) are barking up the wrong tree. My list isn't even exhaustive.

2) Who's gonna believe the biased press now anyway?

So...NOW that it's a REPUBLICAN President......the press needs to be all on it, right? "You see, we failed you on Biden but here's Trump being the same way" isn't gonna work.

You protect your credibility BEFORE you lose it, not try to regain it when your shamelessness has been exposed for everyone to see.

=================

Again, I don't disagree with you in the abstract. Trump SHOULD NOT be President, and he never should have been elected a second time after January 6th. But "he's as baked as Biden" isn't going to fly. Biden never went on the same rants he was going on ten years ago about Alphonse Capone, etc.

Trump still has enough energy to whine if nothing else.
Selma, I don't disagree with any of your points. While a couple of the Biden issues weren't known until later, there's no doubt in my mind that whoever pushed/allowed him to run again made a drastic mistake, a mistake that impacts us all. My ire is directed not so much at the media but really at my social media acquaintances who wrung their hands over Biden's failings but are willfully blind to Don's ramblings about George Washington capturing airports, and windmills causing cancer, and his uncle teaching Kaczinski.

even the conservative wall street journal ....

It isn’t clear how the letter with Trump’s signature was prepared. Inside the outline of the naked woman was a typewritten note styled as an imaginary conversation between Trump and Epstein, written in the third person.

“Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything,” the note began.

Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.

Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is.

Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.

Jeffrey: Yes, we do, come to think of it.

Donald: Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?

Jeffrey: As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.

Donald: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.
