I just read where Tubby is blaming the ill planned coup to get rid of him and the SACS investigation of 04 for them being shorthanded now. In other words, that is why they lost to S. Florida. Give me a break! This is the same jackass that will raise his five fingers in the air about beating us when we have been playing with 20 + fewer bodies during that period. They have only 4 players out of 29 from that class. What does that have to do with planegate and Sacs? They signed with barn didnt they? I usually dont post much but this hypocrisy is ridiculous. I guess they are "young "again.

Like rats on a sinking ship. This is the main reason i can't stand Tubby! He plays the blame game when things don't go his way, he will only back his players when they do good. Spineless, yellow, big eared, fear the board of trustees.

Where's the article? The one I read on al.com didn't have any quotes from tubby. There was an obscure quote from an assistant, but it doesn't say what question was he was answering.

Tuberville says recruiting was hurt by the public relations hit Auburn took from the academic problems created by the SACS investigation (no, the school wasn't put on academic probation and Auburn didn't lose its NCAA accreditation).

What one assistant coach said then holds true today: "The only SACS my players know is when you tackle the quarterback."

I think Lowder should catch a break about the whole SACS thing. Afterall, it's his money that made many good Auburn classes possible.

I know we've been saying for years that "this is Tuberville's last year on the Plains", but this year, seriously, could be. And, it's not because of what's going on the field...

Care to elaborate?

Nothing really earth-shattering. It's been known Tuberville and Lowder don't exactly see eye-to-eye (see JetGate 2003). Both have kept a wary eye on each other since. It's no so much that Auburn is struggling on the field as it is Tuberville making an excuse as to why they are struggling, and, if you read his words carefully, he's pretty much blaming JetGate of 2003/2004 for what's happening today (which still doesn't make a lot of sense to me).
