And Hawaii hung 36 points on them!! I didn't see that until a few minutes ago. Soft coach, soft team.

Also, did you hear the clip at halftime (its on ESPN.com) when the commentator asks Kiffin "what they have been figuring out?", and Kiffin says "Nothing". He is classless.

USC is in big trouble. Hawaii is one of the worst coached teams I've seen in a while, and had they took advantage of their scoring opportunities when they had the ball inside USC's 3 yard line a coupe of different times, they may have even pulled this one out.

Kiffin is an absolute idiot, as if we didn't already know. They guy goes for the 2-point conversion at least twice in the first half with the lead, and there was no reason to go for two on either of those attempts. In one of them, they were up 6-0, and the other one they were up 20-3. However, this is the same coach that had his kicker attempt a 74 yard FG when he was coaching the Raiders, so maybe we shouldn't be suprised.

I saw Bob Davie coach at Notre Dame one season, I kid you not he ran the ball up the middle in one game on 3 consecutive downs. Needless to say he was fired after the end of the season. He also had a rep around South Bend for treating people like crap. The guy is just annoying.

As for Lame god bless his soul- He wont be able to stand the pressure from loosing and the usc fans will be up his butt along with the new AD. I wont be surprised if he jumps at the end of the season. Should be fun to see how he acts when they get blown out playing good teams.


I wanted to wait until the game was over to post this. I went to bed after the first 5 minutes of the 2rd quarter.

Mark Jones is a semi douche- He called the NCAA . the NC double A, AA, so its the NCAAAA. Anyone can make that mistakes. It was the 2nd quarter before they ever said Hawaii's head coaches name. I was read to declare USC the BCS champ the way these 2 were talking. You would have thought Lame had just won the MNC and USC was the favorite to win again. I would have been embarrassed to be a USC fan last nite.

He has done other games in which I didnt care for him but being paired with Davies does not help him. I actually missed vern just a bit.
I Think he lowers himself to the level of the other guy in the booth.

I copied 5 of the Davie quotes these were from the first half of the game.

Where did he go after ND and didnt he get caught in a scandal? I dont know what his coaching record is outside ND but as an announcer. Give me Phat Phils sister Holly Rowe in the booth over him.

ESPN looked like Misslou doing the Astro bluebonnett bowl with announcers that did one game a year( for those of you too young to remember Misslou - (you can google both ).

I hope they stay on the left coast the rest of the year and continue to do the 11 pm games. God help us if they did a SEC game.

Agreed- saw that and wondered what the heck they were doing that for. Barkeley (sp) looked good I thought as well as their WR Johnson. But Hawaii's offense moved the ball on their D all night which doesn't bode well for U$C down the road against better teams. Hawaii would just hit the red zone & self-implode.
From ESPiN it was nothing but a U$C lovefest for the whole first half which is all that I watched, very little comments about Hawaii's players or coaches at all. I never did hear the name of the other coach, just Kiffin & U$C over and over.:mad2:
Like others I hope those guys never call an SEC game, especially a Bama game. Uughh.

Monte Kiffin? The man (term used loosely) who apparently never disciplined his own scumbag offspring and idly stands by while multiple institutions, players and his own name are soiled by his brat kid.

The USCum players are being led by the triumvirate of selfish, irresponsible and uncontrolled behavior. Only a verified fool such as Kiffin could seriously even raise the issue when the causes for it are so outlandishly obvious.
