Game Thread: USCe @ LSU

CSS said he thought Connor may have gotten hit in the head. Not sure why he made some decisions.

Lol, sounds familiar, he goes back to the QB to blame. I am wondering why they didn't run more. Or did lsu just stop the run?

Yeah... Spurrier is way out of line there. Talking about one of your players like that isn't cute or funny. Good luck explaining that one Coach.

I found great joy in this game. On Cockytalk and the Carolina fans I know seem to think USCe is the #1 team in the country because Colin Cowherd says so. The way LSU just mashed Carolina tells me what I wanted to know about them as they match up against BAMA. Alabama would maul Carolina, of this I am now convinced.

We won't get the opportunity. I won't guarantee that we will be in the SEC Championship game, but I'm confident that South Carolina won't be.

nothing shocking about this game. In true usc-e fashion, they played their best and most emotional game of the year last week, only to lay an egg the following week.

Heh...a rooster laying an egg......

I don't put this game on par with past "egg laying" games. They lost by 2 pts to a top 10 team on the road (LSU was even 3 pt favorite). Losing to KY in 2010 was laying an egg. This was losing a very close game to a top 10 team that was the preseason #1. Not the same thing.

All that said, LSU did give a bit of a blueprint to challenging USC D. Make Shaw sit in the pocket and beat you. I've been wondering why teams don't "spy" Shaw. LSU did and it was very effective. Also I think USC fans have finally had to accept that Lattimore simply is not 100%. He is very much like Mark Ingram in 2010, only USC does not have a TR backup.

End of the day you just tip your hat to LSU and get ready for UF. They exposed a young and inexperienced USC OL and took away the run.

They shut Lattimore down. It didn't even seem like he was even playing. Whether it was their D or his injury, or even both I heard nothing from him. All LSU did was run, and S. Carolina couldn't stop it. It going to be a very interesting rest of the season now. UGA is back in it and so is LSU. Bama though, I feel is up to the task.

Bama & LSU are very physical teams. Florida is physical but a step behind due to only year two of Mushamp. On the other hand, Georgia is soft and USC exposed that. Next weeks matchup will be a good game but I look for Florida to assert its toughness on USC and win.
