Well, Shaw pretty much ruined whatever chance USC had there. Throwing five yard dump-offs with no timeouts and thirty seconds left is perhaps not the best idea.

Completely agree. With no time outs left, you throw to the sideline, not dump offs in the middle of the field. Poor decision making.
