UT tight end injured

:p_cry:

Will he still get paid while he's out of work ? :p_blank:

Can you name a time when UT got in trouble for paying players? Can you name an SEC school that DID get into trouble for $ to players?

A kid is hurt and still cheap shots.

Don't take it personally. Just realize that many people on this board throw stones at our rivals while standing in Alabama's sewage.

I just think when a kid is hurt, no matter the team cheap shots are out of line. I do the same on UT sites as well. Class and the lack there of is at all schools.

No, UT has not been in trouble for paying players (thank the NCAA for that) but pay them they did -- check cards are wonderfully anonymous. I know for a fact that Fulmer/staff put a bounty on Brodie Croyle's knees during the last game UT played in Tuscaloosa -- so if the contract had been successful, would the player in question get paid in jelly beams? -- I don't think so.

As to the players who are hurt, it is a part of the game but I hope they get excellent treatment and will be healed soon.

I've told this story before ....

Several years ago I was on a road trip listening to a rock station. The DJ was interviewing Josey Scott, the lead singer from Saliva. Turns out Scott was a pretty good HS DL and, if his music career had not taken off, was all set to go to UT. Scott mentioned all the extra benefits (cash, car, etc.) he was set to get. As the DJ moved onto to more music-related questions, I was left yelling at the radio, "Is anyone from the NCAA hearing this?"

So you didn't turn them in because they missed or because you know for a fact that the NCAA would have disregarded the evidence simply because you are a Bama fan? Seem the press would have a field day with any kind of proof even if the NCAA was in on the conspiracy.

What ? Where have you been ? Under a rock ? ESPN used to de multiple investigative reports on TN every year for a almost a decade . There has been a TON of ignored proof on TN - fixed grades , illegal camps , fixed and/or fake drug tests , playing players who never were legitimate high school graduates , vehicles , assaulting an attorney , threatening people to prevent reporting , info in exchange for immunity , etc , etc . Geez . Wake up .

There's a big difference between knowledge and the ability to prove.

The press would not have much of a field day with mere hearsay statements from a person a would-be whistleblower happens to trust.

That said, I claim no knowledge of this particular situation.
