He should have gotten a jail sentence. The victim will have a metal plate in his mouth for the rest of his life. RTR

As for his status, I have heard that he will be suspended 2 games.

Pleads guilty, and only get 2 frickin games?? If he'll do it in pick up basketball what makes you think he wouldn't do it during a football game?? But I bet if he did it during a football game he'd get a pat on the back and told job well done.

One day one of those thugs will rough up on the wrong person and that "T" will stand for "Terminated". They have been lucky so far.

I am now losing count on how many UT players have had to deal with law enforcement officials in the last couple of seasons. Unreal how large the list has grown to. Coach Fulmer really knows how to go out and recruit players that have character. Not. RTR!

It is so obvious to me that the extreme aggression of ut players is directly related to steroids. It is so easy to tell by looks and behavior the athletes that use steroids. But as someone already said, it is the teflon university

I read somewhere else that Phatty said something like..."At least we don't have anyone robbing banks or murdering people."

Now, isn't that a sad testimony on their program? I guess he had to substitute "robbing banks" for raping someone since those players had their way with that mentally challenged girl. At any rate, it's pretty pathetic when a HC tries to downplay the behavior of his players by such comparisons to more heinous crimes.

It was reported in the Tennessean that the kid who was beaten up will file a civil suit. Hopefully, they can drag it out until McDaniel gets drafted and then hit him up for $$$$.

The kid is no longer at Poxville (don't know whether he graduated or just left) but UT has left a bad taste in his mouth. He and his mother can't believe just how little punishment McDaniel got -- two games against weak opponents. Wow.
