While I agree with the sentiment, I don't see how the government can tax something you can easily grow in your back yard. Then again, there aren't many people growing their own tobacco, barley and hops, either.
I guess if they can arrest you for growing something you can easily grow in your back yard, they can sure as heck find a way to tax it.

This has bad idea written all over it. What are you going to do when your pot gets stuck in the machine, like snacks often do? I can see a bunch of stoned people standing there now trying to figure that out.

All I know is that I want to put a bunch of snack machines right next to it. Fill it with nothing but dry cereal, cheese puffs, taco shells, and other cheap stuff stoners love. I'd have my retirement saved before I knew it.

In this high-exposure group, lung cancer risk rose by 5.7 times for patients who smoked more than a joint a day for 10 years, or two joints a day for 5 years, after adjusting for other variables, including cigarette smoking.
if you're toking this much, lung cancer is the least of your worries ;)

And in related news:
Cannabis bigger cancer risk than cigarettes: study
HONG KONG (Reuters) - Smoking a joint is equivalent to 20 cigarettes in terms of lung cancer risk, scientists in New Zealand have found, as they warned of an "epidemic" of lung cancers linked to cannabis.

Whats a person to do?
I assume this is because cannabis smoke is usually inhaled as completely unfiltered smoke. I'm wondering if thc taken in through the use of a water bong is equally unhealthy. I'm willing to bet that legalized weed would lead tobacco companies to start manufactoring "packs" of filtered joints like they do their cigarettes. In any case, none of it matters. Weed will never be legalized (at least not in my lifetime.)

Yeah, I would say cottonmouth, starvation, and heavy metal music would rank above cancer on the worry-o-meter.
and all of the people peering through the curtains, the contemplation of what the inside of your scalp feels like, and why all reporters talk and act the same ;)
