Quite frankly I believe this is a bash thread deservedly its own.

I've watched auburn fail this season and absolutely LOVED it. I've also watched LSU rally strong behind Fournette this year. I've heard all the positive accolades from this guy and the biggest thing that separates him from years of LSU talent.....he's humble.

So with that being said for the past few weeks, today really being the boiling point, all the post game threads on all the "sports" sites have been invaded by tiger fans (take you pick) just running their mouths about every single thing. Too an extent I can tolerate some of what LSU is spitting out, given their running game and finally the appearance of their QB last night (he had a very solid passing game, which removes the "one dimensional" tag that was on them). The same can't be said for the dumpster fire (IMO) that is auburn. Inconsistent play on both sides of the ball with a newly minted d coach that apparently can't coach d (i was gonna use another letter there but implied profanity is not accepted here).

I've never had the hatred for LSU or Tennessee that you my brethren seem to have, but have quickly come to despise auburn in recent years.

I've never seen an opposing teams fans so "in your face" as LSU leading up to the BCSNCG at the end of the 2011 season.

During Christmas, at Disney World, I regulalry got "Tiger Bait" from grown men at Disney while wearing a Bama shirt trying to enjoy time with my family.

Then, in NOLA on the day of the game, I've never seen a fanbase so confident and in your face before a game.

But guess what they were doing after the game??? Like rats returned to their gutter. Couldn't find a one of them after the game.

So the way you deal with them is to beat them and they'll shut up.

FWIW, I completely understand your rage for Barners!

LSU is vastly overrated. Fournette isn't... not by a long shot. That is the best RB this conference has seen since Bo and Herchel. But that's all they've got. Oh, sure, their passing game showed up against Florida. Their defense seems to be decent. But on the whole, they've played a very weak schedule. Florida was an impressive win, but a win against a program that just suffered a severe setback. And that was a only a 7 point win - at home - at night.

Fournette is good enough to power them to the playoffs, I have no doubt about that. He is that good, and Alabama will have its hands full slowing him down. But we've got the front 7 to do it, and a secondary that can lock down their passing game. Our offense has its own troubles, but I think we can score on their D. Getting past Tennessee will be no cakewalk, but if we can, I've got confidence that we can handle LSU at home. As for their fans, I've given up on them. Coach Saban coming to Alabama deranged what little mental capacity they had left.

Y'know.....he's good. He's not Walker or Bo -- in fact, I don't think he's as good as McFadden was at Arkansas.....just my 2 cents (and partially due to my hatred of LSU) --

McFadden isn't in his league. I didn't say he was Walker or Bo; just the best since then. His speed and power are off the charts but his vision and cutting ability are too. And I have no love at all for LSU, their fans, coach (funny nincompoop though he may be), and especially their students. But after all, that's just my 2 cents as well. I'm certainly no expert.

Not an expert either, but I agree with you. Fournette is the best college RB that I have seen in a while. I wasn't sure until the Florida game. Florida has a very good front 7, and Fournette got 180 yards without any huge runs. He is the real deal.

I'm happy Aubren is imploding. Good for them and their delirious and delusional fanbase. Lucky to win against UK and it's about to get terrible for them quickly.

As for LSU, they have Fournette and a high ranking, THAT'S IT! Florida had them and they let LSU steal it. Florida's secondary got kinda exposed because Harris is not a good qb whatsoever. You take away the run and you have nothing to lean on, not even their defense.

Although I haven't had a chance to go back and look at the tape, when UF wasn't trying to strip the ball and bring him down high, he had little success. We closed the gaps many times and he either had small chunks or was shut down backfield. If AL plays disciplined football and wraps him up, they can contain him and limit his yardage and big plays.Tennessee will be a good test for AL with their RBs.

Fournette Freshman Year:

13 Games, 187 Attempts, 1034 Yards, 5.5 AVG, 10 TDs

McFadden Freshman Year:

11 Games, 176 Attempts, 1113 Yards, 6.3 AVG, 11 TDs

I know Fournette has had a great first 6 games....but McFadden's Sophomore year:

1647 yards, 14 TDs

Junior Year -

1830 yards, 16 TDs....

Let's give LF some time before we say McFadden isn't in his league......

Mirrors my experience when down in Flo at the end of the 2011 season while down in Flo...

Angry, arrogant, in-your-face would be too kind to describe my experience...

Yet another reason why I sooooooooo enjoyed the beatdown...

You can find other backs with stats. Stats are not what I'm referring to when I make that statement.

In a way, this is almost unfair, since we won't let them reply, but, what the hell, life isn't fair. :D Now, we had to bar them because they took over our board. We had several more or less take up residence. I fully expected one day to open up TF and find the colors turned to purple and gold. I finally got to where I hated even to open up the Football board in the morning. This was in the first couple of years or so that CNS was HC at Bama. It finally got intolerable, hence the ban still in effect...

Keep the ban forever Earle. Most people who want it lifted weren't around for that mess or have a short memory.
