I finally experienced the legendary Houndstooth for the first time last A-Day, it's a pretty killer bar, but it's no Devaneys in Winter Park, FL. :wink:

The Booth reopened dowtown, but of course, like The Houndstooth, isn't like it used to be. I like both new buildings, but it just isn't the same.

i'll second that. i thought egans was better than the original tiny houndstooth. and the booth wasn't even close.

Never been to Egan's...and I am ok with that. I was a MIS major...we did all of our boozing at the 'Tooth.

There just a lot of bars in tuscaloosa that are clean and nice, I like the dives better. If I wanted a clean bar Id say copper top or something.

The old Houndstooth had lot cozier feel to it but it was in bad disrepair and needed to be rebuilt.
