3. The possibility that this crystal football may be revoked in a few years, lends itself well to comedy.

4. I just cannot hate my barner friends enough to wish them defeat in Glendale...They did afterall wish Bama luck against Texas last year.

While I might be able to agree with # 1 & 3, #2 will never happen. But Where did you find any barners rooting for us against Texas last year?
 
Honestly, I would like to see Auburn win. That being said, if I have any significant interaction with Auburn fans at the time, I will start rooting for the Ducks, but all things being equal, I will root SEC.

We have some barner faithful here in Augusta, Ga. Mostly Vet and Engineering types. The ironic thing was that their stated opinions had more to do with their distaste for the incredible arrogance of...Texas. I guess in other words, They hated Texas more than Big brother.

I know lots of Goobers and none of them wanted Bama to beat Texas. I guess they lost their "SEC LOVE". I did hear over and over "if Colt hadn't gone down Bama would have lost". Heard that until I was sick of it. At the resort where we camp in Guntersville, the Goobs had a go Texas beat Bama party.
 
I want Auburn to lose this game and every game that they play from now to the end of the universe.

I have wanted them to lose every contest they have ever participated in. When I was but an infant and knew nothing, I was rooting against them on the subconscious level, even though I didn't know it. Prior to my birth, I rooted against them by way of substitution through my crimson ancestry!

Hope I'm not being vague...

And, one more thing...

I know many Boogs, and not one of them pulled for Bama last year. That was fine - we didn't need their support, however, now they want ours. They don't deserve it. GO DUCKS! Pac 10 or not, I don't care. I would like for them to be the only SEC team this decade which has come up short in the BCSNCG. That would give me much pleasure after all of their cheating ways.
 
I voted auburn. When the game starts i know i will get excited and pull for the Ducks. I've tried this before. It just don't work. I will try to see it as a win - win situation. The SEC shows its' muscle, or auburn is defeated in a heart-breaker.

I obviously voted Auburn, even though I despise everything to do with them.

Wanna know why?

A) They're from Alabama
B) From the SEC
C) Ranked #1
D) They are the best team in the nation right now
E) They look just like us in 2005 and 2009. Something just let them/us keep winning.
F) They are our arch-rival and it'll be fun to slaughter the "defending national champions" in the Iron Bowl next year. :)

1. I can understand that feeling. Even if they win, the PAC whatever they are this week, overall are not equal. They only have 3 or 4 schools that are or can be good. USC, Oregon, Stanford, and one other you can pick. They do not equal the SEC in total strength.

2. DON'T YOU EVEN BELIEVE THIS! Winning will only empower them more, to think they are just as equal as Bama and WE ALL KNOW that until they win 13 NCs and 22 SEC's, they will never be equal. By the time the Barn can accomplish this, I won't care, because even my great, great, great grandchildren will be dead and gone.

3. Maybe. Don't count on it. Not with the NCAA in charge.

4. You Have Barn friends????????????????

I hope you used PLENTY of hot water and soap to wash that slimy feeling off your bod.

And I voted for Oregon here. I root for Bama and ANYONE who is playing the Barn, Notre Dame, the U, that idiot coach out at USC Tipper Gore or whatever his name is.

Believe it or not, There do exist some classier types of Auburn grads. We don't have any of the "typical sociology degreed barners" here. ( that I am aware of ) And I wouldn't associate with them if they were around anyway.

I, too, have barn friends, and some barn in-laws.

I don't mind if they feel bad about the barn getting beat, though.

However, if they win the BCS title, they will never get over that. Even when (if ever) it gets taken away.

Auburn is and will always be the "little brother program". They will never get over that, either. I kind of like it that way.
