I had planned to buy the PPV on DirecTV (channel 785, HD; 786 SD), but can't find a link to buy it...the web site says I can record it, but nowhere can I find a link to purchase. Looks like I'm gonna be listening to Eli and "watching" on TideFans! Not that any of that is a bad thing!

if you have dish and live outside al, how can you get the game. I've tried espn3 for other games, but no success because of tv provider. is there something I'm missing? How are you watching the game?

On Time Warner Cable out of Wilmington, I am seeing CFB06 (95) and ESPN6 (590) from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Looks like it is on GamePlan and should be available on PPV

I've got a family thing right after kickoff... I'm going to try to stream Eli but I'm sure the wife will frown upon that once we get there...lol

Might be time to let the family in on your secret! Either that or get a small FM with an earbud at Best Buy on the way!

I am in the same boat. I went to purchase online through my Directv account, and it doesn't have a place to purchase it just record.

We had to call and order the game, and they charged us another $5.00 to do so just because we had to talk to a real person. Crazy. Oh well Bama games are worth it.

I live in Georgia (Atlanta) so not blacked out and was able to order (with hassle) from Comcast (ESPN Gameplan) for little over $25. Channel 456 at 2pm est.


PS-originally i found it channel surfing for $76 (yeah, right). Cant believe they try to rob people like that.

Doesn't sound like your box is hooked to the internet. Same thing happened to me this morning and I have the whole home DVR. I tuned to 785 and all I saw was record. For giggles I went into another room and when I went to 785 the first button was "buy now" so I ordered it. After checking the box in the bar, I found the computer line was disconnected from receiver.

That's my understanding...

Of course, since I can't get PPV games up here in Canada, I can only hope that my cable provider will pick up the Bama games...

For Alabama and Tennessee it's on 464. For rest of country, 463.

That probably is the answer. My TV is hooked Wi-Fi to the internet and I did get down to the point with my remote to purchase the game.
