Virginia Tech and Florida St doesn't play each other in regular season, but if they both are undefeated at the end of the season....they will play each other in the ACC championship game, which will be a huge game for Alabama to be watching....because that game may depend on who the BCS chooses to play USC in the Rose Bowl.... What needs to happen is VT needs to go ahead and get beat by Miami on Nov 5th and Florida needs to beat Florida St on their last game of regular season.... Alabama doesn't need either FS or VT going undefeated......but Texas is another story.... because OU is about the only team in the Big 12 that could upset them....unless Coach Fran pulls something out of his butt...cause the Big 12 championship isn't going to stop Texas either....
We need VT, FSU, and Texas to lose..

Looking around the country, it's possible to see four teams from BCS conferences going undefeated. I agree with you about Texas. If OU doesn't beat them this weekend I don't seem them losing. The Big 12 is way down this year. USC still has some tough games coming up especially against Notre Dame, but I just don't see anyone from the PAC-10 beating them. Cal and UCLA may be able to score some points on 'em, but I don't think they have the defense to stop Leinhart and Co. If the same situation happens this year that happened last year it's very likely Bama will be on the outside looking in. Until there's a playoff system that's just the way it is. If we are left out I think we'll handle with it with class. I don't think we'll pull a Barn, and hold up a fake "PNC".DrGameday said:

I think either ND or Cal have a good chance to beat USC. Also, We need Miami to beat VT and we need VT to beat FSU in the regular season. Yes since Tech would beat FSU in the championship game they would get a BCS bowl, but it wouldn't be in the NC. So that would make us matched up against Young and the Horns

Capstone is correct, Tenn, Aubie and the rest might as well be a light year the only immediate concern should be Ole Sis i think they'll be plenty stoked when the Tide rolls into town. To be honest I am plenty concerned with this game.
