We're heading to Tallahassee again

Going to #7 National Seed FSU, will face Troy in the opening game.

Not the worst draw, but tough to get paired with a top 8 seed, even though FSU didn't end the season that well. I thought we'd be heading to Bloomington instead of Florida personally.

Man- that is the one possible place I was hoping that they would NOT go. No one will do Bama any favors- we should know that. Are they a #2 or 3 seed-not that is really matters.

The NCAA always seem to really regionalize these early rounds- cutting down on travel I guess. Sometimes causes the regionals to be very unbalanced.

Now we have to watch the Winston kid play against the Tide- congrats to the team though. They earned their bid- did not think it would happen half way through the season.

I like it as that is only a 1 hour and 15 drive for me!!!

On my Facebook page, I got a post from something called AUFamily. I'm not a follower of that page, obviously, but it popped up on my page because it mentioned the SEC. It had a picture of Jacobs shaking hands with who I assume is their baseball coach. The comment said that nine SEC teams made the field, but the Barn was not one of them.

Naturally, I liked the link.

On another note, everyone who commented seemed to want to get rid of the baseball coach and/or Jacobs.

Apparently the selection committee has decided to plug us into the spot they usually have reserved for auburn in the regionals. It certainly makes me wish that their baseball team was just a little bit better and could continue to fill that spot in Tallahassee. There are plenty of other places I'd rather see us go. On the upside, we've played, and beaten, Troy this season. Of course it was a mid-week game so I don't know how much stock you should place on the win. All in all, I think we're playing about as well as we've played all year. If our pitchers continue on the path they've been on, and we can get a timely hit or three, we could make some noise down there, but still don't like our chances of advancing.

I'm just happy Bama baseball is there. They've struggled recently and to have them there is great.
