Just finished Devil At His Elbow about the Murdaugh murders. Written by a WSJ reporter who does an outstanding job weaving page-turning writing into a 300-page narrative. Not an easy thing to do.

She also did some excellent research, going back generations to establish Alec Murdaugh’s mindset and general approach to life.

Even though we all know the ending, this account of the journey, ancillary crimes, and sociopathy is well worth the read.

Yeah, it has an aspect of mind candy, but for the first time in a long time, I lost track of the clock.
