Couldn't decide if this was Football or NSNP. Went with NSNP because, other than the fact that the subject played at Alabama, football really doesn't factor in much.

Some of you may remember Brandon Avalos, a quarterback during the Shula era, and also the stepson of Rodney Orr, owner of another Alabama board.

He sort of dropped off the face of the earth for a number of years. We now know why. Rick Karle has an article on Avalos -- bad times and good. A nice comeback story.

He was an Alabama quarterback who had it all, but couldn’t stay clean - al.com

Reminds me of Brian Burgdorf.........
Did Burgdorf ever get his act together?

I remember he and a son of Bobby Bowden's getting into no-foolin' serious trouble for investment fraud, and one of their victims was Bobby himself.

They went to prison for that. No idea for how long, whether either or both are out now, or what they did after prison (assuming they are out).

I don't know, but I was in law enforcement back in those days, and Brian's cousin did a stint in the facility I worked in. He said Brian had some troubles he was working hard to fix

I had stayed up on him. His stepfather is a good personal friend of decades-long. I've been proud of what Brandon has done...
