I've been present for many unforgettable moments. This years blocked field goal against UT was up there.

When Teague took the ball away from Lamar Thomas was incredible, and amplified, by being indoors at the SuperDome.

But I honestly believe the loudest I've ever heard a Bama crowd was when Antonio Langham intercepted Shane Matthews and ran it back for a TD against Florida in the 1992 SEC Championship Game.

I thought Legion Field would collapse....lol

I couldn't hear myself think.

September 15, 2007 at Bryant-Denny. Matt Caddell catches a last second pass from John Parker Wilson and Alabama beats Arkansas 41-38. I thought my head was going to explode. The crowd noise was deafening and my head hurt it was so loud.

The entire time we were on defense during the 2005 Florida game is the loudest I've ever heard the stadium. And that was pre-expansion too. I wish we had that type of atmosphere every single game.

The Oklahoma game at Bryant-Denny, towards the end of the game we had them stopped on defense, then I think they ran a successful fake punt or f/g try, I can't remember which but the stadium was absolutely rocking on the defensive stand prior to the fake.

The stadium was deafening for the entire game. From the opening touchdown against the Gators, until the final seconds ticked off, it was amazing.
Agreed 100%. Can't speak for any earlier games but i have been to every game since 2005 and that was the loudest I have ever heard the stadium for the longest amount of time. There have been moments of loudness since then but nothing for an entire game like that one was..... and it was before the expansion which makes it even more incredible.

Miss St, 1999 when we clinched to the SEC championship was very very loud. I was not at the 2005 Florida game. But my Bro-in-law said that the crowd was so loud when Pro scored the first TD that it affected his equilibrium and made him have to hold on to a his neighbor to keep from falling down. And it wasnt bourbon induced.

Agree...I was under the upper deck freezing my arse off...I don't remember much about the cold after that play :) Except the 2 Gator fans in front of me that had been acting like arseholes the entire game got verbally abused to the point it was almost a crime after that play...

For me, this was it (but I wasn't at some of the other games mentioned). Part of what led up to this "roar" was the last minute drive. Each play that crept the Tide closer to the end zone just got the crowd juiced up that much more and then it was pandemonium!

2008 Auburn game. The end of the 'streak' was fantastic. I was at a lot of the ones mentioned earlier (the pre-2002 ones, unfortunately, back surgery ended my trips to games), but I was a participant so didn't really pay attention to the noise level. Rammer Jammer on TV in the 2008 IB was phenomenal.
