Question: What's your minimal expectations for Bama this year?

I don't really know honestly. I know some people on the inside and some say we are undisciplined beyond belief. But some of the veterans are trying to take the reigns to bring the new guys up to speed on how things ought to work. So we'll see. Leadership will be key this year.
Ugh... I think discipline is much harder to have now. Hopefully we can be more so than others.

No CNS, the portal and NIL. I have zero expectations anymore. I will watch Bama but they have ruined the game of college football for me.
College coaches are paid an obscene amount of money. Players have become professionals. Maybe not students at all! The cost of watching games on TV increases year over year and ticket cost to attend a game are out of reach for many. The NFL becomes a more attractive alternative where there is an equal playing field and players, coaches and general managers are the difference makers.

I think maybe 11-1, 10-2, Georgia will be tough, South Carolina will be tough, Tennessee and LSU are not beating us at home, also everyone is talking about Simpson, he will be fine, seems no one in the country brings up Saying at Ohio State, Stockton at Georgia or Manning at Texas, they are first time starter, we will be fine
Good point on the other new starting QB .
Btw, those said schools just happened to be in the Top 5 in the pre season. Criticizing them would ruin the narrative for those pundits and " experts ".

I gave up on the NFL a long time ago. I may have to start playing golf again. :)

The schedule is very difficult. We have questions about key positions, discipline, depth, and toughness. I think we have top 10 talent, so we shall see how it comes together with coaching, teamwork, luck, and effort. I'll say from 8-4 at worst to 11-1 at best. I'll pick 9-3 and hope for better. Roll Tide!

It is a tough seven game run from Georgia to Oklahoma. LSU has a returning QB who expects to go high in the draft. South Carolina has a great athlete returning at QB playing at home. Any type of early stumble could multiply. Make it through the gautlet and expectations are sky high.

I want to see the defense improve more.
I want to see the offense actually look like an offense and a qb actually go thru progressions and have command of the offense.
If we go 10-2 we're in good shape for playoffs.
I think there will be some hicups just due to Ty not having played a whole lot.
UGA will be our first big test. We get past that and we're in good shape even if we drop one or two.
I just want to see a more organized unit on offense.
Running game needs to improve.

Sadly, I don't care.

I mean, I'll likely watch the first few games to see if the fire is reignited, but it's been so hard to even care this off-season based on current NCAA rules...

If Bama can continue the standard of having most players stick around, I'll retain some interest, I think.

CFB from the last few years is so different / broken from what I've always loved I've no idea if my passionate interest will ever return.
