Question: Which Game Next Year Should Bama "Fear The Most"?

I fear that CUM will have another breakdown after receiving yet another beatdown in Tuscaloosa.

14-0 AGAIN !!! Hey, I see NOBODY on the schedule that we cannot beat in a convincing fashion.

Did anyone see the giant bullseye! Every game is going to be a tough one. We now have a bullseye on our backs. Just take them one at a time.

But, on the other hand, do y'all think that when other fans see Bama on their schedule, they say "Oh crap, we gotta play Bama". IOW, have we reached that point where nobody wants to play us, or at least to the point where they feel like a whooping is looming?

Yep - I do believe Bama has "arrived"! And if any team that plays us is not really, really concerned, something is wrong with them!

No fear, but all the SEC games and Penn State will be tough.

6 of our 8 SEC opponents have a bye before playing us. Arkansas and Florida are the only 2 that do not.

As others mentioned, Tennessee comes at the end of a long stretch of SEC games in a row. Despite losing a lot, I expect the Vols to give Alabama a tough game in Knoxville.

LSU is always tough in Death Valley.

As for any one opponent... I don't know. But I think this year's schedule may end up being tougher to navigate than 2009's... and 2009 was tough for sure.

Gotta agree that the Viles in Knoxville will be a challenge. However, I will be there with my cigar, as usual.

I totally blew the title of this thread and I apologize. It should have been..."Which Game Next Year Should Bama Fans Be The Most Concerned About"?

I know the team has no fear at all.

Sorry guys and gals. Bad judgement on my part.

If I was told that we will definitely lose 1 game next year and I had to guess which game it is, I'd answer without too much hesitation or uneasiness: October 23rd vs. UT.

Bama's 8th straight without a break.
Bama's 5th straight SEC match-up.
Bama's 3rd straight vs a rested opponent coming off a bye
Big rivalry game
Away game

PS, UF and LSU should all be better teams, but UT should be our biggest challenge as we should be very very tired when we meet - both mentally and physically.

I'm most concerned about UT and the Barn. That's mainly because I may be able to recover from a loss to anyone else but not to one of them. Well, not for a year anyhow.

Plus scheduling makes UT, in particular, difficult because of physical wear and tear and maybe a lack of mental freshness. On top of all that we won't have Mt. Cody there to block a field goal.

Hey it's off season...lol

If you had to pick one game, next season, that has the biggest possibility, for an "upset", which would you choose?

Today, just today, I'd probably pick Penn State. Just because of the emotion his players will feel in trying to send Joe Pa out on a great note.

By game time I may be predicting Bama 48-6.

But for right now......it's the off season...and that's the game that stands out to me.

And you?

Where is JoPa going?

I'd say Florida. CUM has been mudholed twice since he has been at Florida and both time it was by the Tide. I'm thinking he will pull out all the stops when they come to BD this season. Plus, we won't have a real sense of what his offense is going to be. This is probably going to be a rehearsal for the SECCG.

Yeah, it's gonna be Florida or Penn State. I would lean towards UF tho. I'm not gonna say that they have us "circled" on the calendar there b/c I think every team we play will have that one marked. Gonna be a tough one for us- I'm glad it's in Ttown.

Yep. Almost all of hem will be rested and ready for us...

Remember my playoff theory. We already have it - it's called the SEC regular season. The National Championship game is held in Atlanta and then, the national champion plays an exhibition game against a team from another part of the country...

I fear another close one against AU, but I know the Tide will give them what for in 2010.UT is usually a tough game and even though UF is depleted to a degree, they will be pumped up for a rematch.Kinda to early to tell with all the coaching changes... or not changes... or retirements... or leaves of absence.....or no wait I coming back........?
