Living on the edge and being the daredevil that I am:p. I'm going out on a limb and predicting the barn to succumb to defeat in Starkville this Thursday. IMO, Miss.St. will play ball control and keep Aubie's non stoppable QB  and offense off the field, and pound their swiss cheese defense. Anyone else thinking along the same line?

I was just thinking about this game. I honestly think St can win. I wouldn't put money on it but I got this gut feeling.

I think Mullen is a pretty good coach. Seems to me that a lot of the Urban Meyer mystique is tarnishing since he lost Mullen as OC (and Charlie Strong as DC, but less so than Mullen).

If Auburn expects an easy win because 'they are MSU', they'll be in for a surprise.

The barner D was very underwhelming to me in their spring game and their showing yesterday did nothing to change my mind. Chiz, supposedly a defensive whiz has been a HC for 38 games now and his defenses are giving up an average of 31.4 points per game.

Aubies D was awful, and Cams big stat line was a product of keeping him in for 3.5 quarters against anemic competition. Not to mention that it seems the Ted Roof D is still a work in regress.
Road game, up and coming SEC team with a competant coach and an offense that can score. Yes I will pick MSU.

I also dare. I dare to say Auburn has many questions in their defense. Auburn has many questions about how their qb will re-act when pressed by a decent defensive front.

Aub is capable to win but, since they didn't CRUSH Ark St...Miss St will give them more than what they bargained for and try to make a statement game against them.

I think State will win. Probably going to be a dull game( I hope not) but I would like to see the barn loose either way. RTR

Auburn's O gets the better of Miss Tippi Tate's D. Auburn wins, but Newton takes some serious shots and starts to understand the gravity of his being at the core of Auburn's O.
;)

Will be pulling for Miss. St. I believe they have a real shot if they have a spy on Cam and control his big plays. Hope they play good old fashion mash mouth football and, give the Barners a black eye.:BigA:

Why not?

Russell looks pretty good; Barn's defense looks pretty bad; and Newton won't be running all over a (albeit, a possibly borderline) SEC defense.

I see this game as a early SECW ranking indicator for 4th and 5th place. This won't be no epic 3-2 game, I selected MSU to outscore those "Tony the Tiger" looking kitty cats right there on Scott Field; 34-20. The cowbells will be ringing loud and clear throughout Davis Wade Stadium this coming Thursday night.
