I'm driving to Jacksonville on Friday night, going to game Saturday, driving back Sunday :)

Good to have family in low places

Should be in Gainesville Friday around noon. Hope to see lots of Crimson around town. Any idea on how many tickets we received?

My wife and I are headed into MCO on Friday, basing out of there for a long weekend.

I think we got the standard 10K tickets given to each SEC school - but then there's always eBay - I've seen lots of Bama fans snapping tix up there. We should have a good showing!

RTR!!

My wife (Bama grad too) and I with two Gator friends (UF grads) come flying in via my truck at noon on Friday. Bar called the Swamp is where will be all afternoon. UF students start to hit it at about noon on Friday. Tailgating on the top deck of the parking deck (Gator Boosters) right next to the O'Connel Center and across from BHG Stadium.

Lets hope the game will be as good as the party.

Driving up to Gainesville on Friday. Actually, I don't have a hotel yet, so I may end up staying a little farther south. Of course, I don't have tickets yet either, so I may end watching in a sports bar.

I have been around off and on here since mid 1990's. Hope those of you making the trip to Gainesville enjoy your stay (if not the game).

If you stay away from the students, you should be treated with class and respect.

Tailgate spots: O'Connell Center Parking lot on the West side of the stadium. Near the Swamp due north of the stadium. The Law School Library a couple blocks west of the stadium and Norman Field east of the stadium are some of the best spots.

For food, if you want to avoid the "chain restaurants":

The Swamp is pretty good for appetizers.
Northwest Grille about 2 miles north of the stadium is fantastic for fresh seafood.
El Toro south of campus is a hole in the wall but has terrific Mexican.
Gator City (the old purple porpoise) and Copper Monkey (both right next to campus on the north side of the stadium) are the best in town for burgers.
Calico Jacks (west of the stadium, towards the mall) has fantastic wings (Caribbean Wings) and oysers.

hope that helps. I hope you enjoy your stay, feel welcomed to our town and leave just slightly disappointed at the outcome of the game, but still feel it was worth the trip!

Me and my 4 compadres will be heading south Friday about 7:30 am. This will be our 4 day excursion to see the Tide keep the streak against the gators :mad2: rolling in the Swamp.

I am jacked about this game, my first trip to the Swamp and am ready for the party to begin.:cool2:

See ya there and ROLLLLLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bama Greg:cool:

South side has a few spots for visiting rv's. East side of the Stadium, across 13th street, Norman Field usually has quite a few. Regularly, on the north side, I have seen visiting rv's parked. many students sell spots in their yard for cars/trucks/rv's and it seems to be a growing theme for visiting fans to choose a house and fill it up with just their fans and have a nice tailgate away from the students who seem to be obnoxious. I usually stop at some of these to have a drink with visiting fans and help them enjoy their stay before the game.

Leaving Tuscaloosa around 11 on Friday, staying at th eGainesville Inn and Suites, gonna hit up Durty Nelly's for a nice Guiness
