Cullman, Al
Randy White, nicknamed Manster, who played for the great Cowboy teams of the 70's and 80's and who is a college football and NFL HOF hated playing against Hannah. Gil Brandt in 2016 listed his top 20 offensive players ever (players not OL) and he had Hannah at #7.

7) John Hannah, guard
New England Patriots, 1973-1985.
By the numbers: 183 games (183 started)
Cowboys defensive lineman Randy White told me Hannah was the best guard he ever played against. He was strong, fast, had long arms and outstanding competitiveness -- in short, he had everything we look for in offensive linemen today. The Hall of Famer was a seven-time first-team All-Pro and nine-time Pro Bowler.
I forget the year but the Patriots were playing the Cowboys and all pregame they were talking up the matchup between Hannah and White. I didn't hear White's name mentioned during the game. Not once.

It's way too early to slip on this Banana peel again.

There was so much pre-season talk last year too.

Only 60% of the Starting 5 even took a snap in the Spring and at A-Day.

I don't know who Max Chadwick is but I don't see how anyone could project us as having the #1 OL when they haven't even seen them play together one snap.

There certainly was last year. But it is a good sign. I think this year is different.

John Hannah, Dwight Stevenson, Chris Samuel, Jim Bunch, Landon Dickerson (LD's personality and ability to bring the team together, having workouts at his home during the pandemic, etc. will endear him to me as a fan forever, so maybe this last pick has a lot to do with that).
These are my 5 and I share your admiration of Landon.
