I am not sure when the votes have to be in. If they can be sent after the championship games, I think whoever has the better league championship game will win between Ingram and McCoy.

McCoy did have one heck of a night against A&M.

Unless McCoy is completely awful against Nebraska he wins. IMO Mark would have to have back to back 200+ yards against AU and UF to realistically have a chance to close the gap on McCoy.

I dont know about two 200+ games for Mark, but Colt did put on a show in a hostile environment last night.
On a side note.... Texas with their 3rd best total defense sure did look porous.

I voted McCoy because I just don't think MI has the backing of the northern and west coast biased voters.

Sheez. McCoy put up his usually inflated numbers against, yet again, a pitiful Big XII defense.

As for "closing the gap" on McCoy, Ingram is leading just about every random Heisman poll in the country right now by actual voters. (see Heisman pundit, for instance).

Granted, Ingram will need to have a big day today and especially in the SECCG, no doubt about it. But if you saw the aTm-Horns game last night, it was, yet again, more horrible defense and an air show by both teams.

Should Texas face Alabama or Florida in the BCSCG, this stat-driven, inflated offense will be shut down by a top-tier SEC defense.

Well said; I agree 100%...

RTR!!!!

This was the same Texas A@M that gave up 65 points to Oklahoma and 49 against Arkansas. Coming in A@M had the 11th worst pass defense in all of college football. And I'm sure it's probably worse now.

Raving about McCoy's performance is comparable to leaving Ingram in the entire game against Chattanoogas defense, letting him rush for 380 yards and raving about his incredible Heisman like performance.

The thing that separates Mark from McCoy is that Mark has had his biggest games against the best teams we've played. The bigger the game the better he plays.

That's my opinion.

sip

I think it will be a close race. MI should have some support from the north because of where he's from. How great would it be our first Heisman and another NC in the same year. RTR:BigA:

As much as i hate to say it, McCoy wins it since he is a Senior and Mark is a Soph. Ingram will be the front runner next year. The media loves McCoy....

I think a lot of us are trying to err on the side of caution when it comes to the Heisman. We've never won one so we don't want to believe it's a real possiblity. I think the award is Ingram's to lose. What he does today and against UF determines who wins it. I don't think it's in McCoy's hands right now.

I'm not erring on anything. McCoy was just responsible for about 500 yds of total offense last night on national TV in a rivalry game.........

I picked Ingram and I'll tell you why.....

1. Not b/c I am a homer

2. Ingram "should" have a big day today with the depth problems at AU

3. Ingram will be one of the biggest reason we beat FL "IF" we beat FL

4. Cornhuskers actually play a little defense and have gotten better as the
season has progressed. I think they will limit Colt to an avg day the same
day Ingram "MAY" lead us to victory in the SECCG.

He did look good, but it's one of only a few times all year he's looked worthy. Ingram's looked worthy every game he's played. Ingram running for 245 against USCe and Norwood is a lot more impressive to me than McCoy last night against TAMU.

Not this year.

My money would be on Colt McCoy. Mark is on pace to have a rather lackluster performance today. I really think he needed to rush for at least a buck-fifty against Auburn to keep in the running.
