They would have to lose several more games to drop out. the media and coaches love the Big 10+1. We all know that. They do everything but give them a NC and they try to do that. Then somebody like UF comes along and messes up that plan. haha

congratulations on the biggest upset in college football history! The rest of the season may just be ho hum now though. I mean as a 1AA school beating the #5 team in 1A...what can really top that? I guess another national championship in 1AA...but you have to wonder, after winning the last two...can that even match their victory over Michigan. Anyways congratulations to your alma-mater!

Thanks - it really was a fantastic, absolutely stunning win, and a great way to start the season. But, I'm Crimson Tide, and I can imagine (and expect) a lot of things that can this season even better

How come Saban can't vote in the Coaches Poll? I looked and didn't see his name. We are off probation and he should be able to vote....hummm

Not absolutely sure but I think the current board of voters was chosen before he was back in college football.

Like I said this is strictly a guess.

Yeah, not sure how they made the cut and Clemson did not...

Only so much orange can be stomached at a time...

I voted no because I could not see how Michigan could be in the top 25 after losing to a 1AA team.
BAMA lost to Missouri in 1975 and then reeled off 11 wins. Won the SEC and beat Penn St. 13 - 6. Along the way beat Auburn, Washington, Tennessee, TCU, Ole Miss, Vandy, LSU, Southern Miss, Miss St., and Clemson.

BAMA did not win the National Title and neither will Misheegan. Of course Alabama did not lose to Appy St. Michigan still has to play:

Sep. 1 Appalachian State LOST 34 - 32 to the Mountaineers
Sep. 8 Oregon Ann Arbor 3:30 p.m. ABC
Sep. 15 Notre Dame Ann Arbor 3:30 p.m. ABC
Sep. 22 Penn State Ann Arbor
Sep. 29 Northwestern at Evanston, Ill.
Oct. 6 Eastern Michigan Ann Arbor
Oct. 13 Purdue Ann Arbor Noon
Oct. 20 Illinois at Champaign, Ill. 7:00 p.m. CDT
Sat., Oct. 27 Minnesota Ann Arbor
Sat., Nov. 3 Michigan State at East Lansing, Mich.
Sat., Nov. 10 Wisconsin at Madison, Wis.
Sat., Nov. 17 Ohio State* Ann Arbor

This will be Lloyd Carr's last season. Will Micsheegan call on Les?

Reported by RECE DAVIS

"Voters often have a tendency to not move teams very far down in the polls from week to week -- so as to avoid admitting they might have been wrong about a team. This week provides a true test of that. Because there's no way Michigan, based purely on what we've seen on the field, deserves to be anywhere near the top 25 at the moment."
