Will Mizzou pull the upset in Austin?

So, Mizzou hasn't won in Austin since Jesus was an infant. (1892 or something like that). Will this be the year? Here's hoping!

I don't see it. Daniels and company will be shut down again by a real defense. Of course if Texas comes out flat anythings possible but I think it'll be horns by two touchdowns.

While it may be good for us and some teams below UT, I don't think they match up very well against Texas. Upsets happen each week so you never know. Look for Muschamp to have his guys ready to make a statement. He will need them to play with passion.

I think Texas wins big.....although I'm pulling for the upset.

I am worried with Daniels and Maclin having the edge in experience the Texas secondary will have a tough time handling players who have just seen more. Texas didn't look all that impressive to me in getting Bradford unsettled. He still had 378 (or something) yards and put up some good passes. Texas ended up winning by finally getting the run game working and letting Colt actually pick his passes towards the end.

I would look for Daniels to have worked on rolling out of the pocket this week in practice and practiced more plays designed to be made on the run. With the blown assignments in the Tx/OU game unless Muschamp can fix those, I think that a well oiled machine that you will find in Daniels and Maclin might really play havoc in the Texas secondary.

I would love to see Mizzou beat Texas, but from day one I have felt more comfortable facing Texas over Oklahoma and Mizzou in a possible matchup at the end of the season. Those quarterbacks are scary good. Colt is no slouch but with the speed of the linebacking core and running the 3-4 a pure passer is what worries me more than a hybrid QB.

I think they are catching Texas at the perfect time coming off a huge, emotional upset of Oklahoma who was ranked #1 at the time they played.

I've just got a gut feeling about this game.

I highly doubt they will, but this is College football, you never know what will happen from week to week. I don't think anyone's going to stop Texas right now, Colt McCoy is just awesome right now.

I think Missouri wins for several reasons: Chase Daniels gets another chance against his home state, Texas coming off a the Oklahoma win, but most importantly--Texas was on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week.

I don`t see it happening.. You can`t protect your own turf against Okla. St. You have a beauty queen offense and a booby trap dancer defense. I think Texas may be the only team in the B12 that has anything that resembles a defense. So, as bad as I don`t want to, I`ll have to pick the Horns at home. BTW, since when did playing Missou, Okie State, and Texas Tech in three straight weeks become muderer$ row? The sports media is making it sound like they`re playing the Giants, Patriots and Dallas Cowboys the next three weeks.

Too much Longhorn running game. Mizzou's D is terrible, atrocious, awful, etc.
Chase is pretty good, but he can't score from the bench, which is where Texas' running game will keep him.

It will come down to turnovers.
This is going to be a high scoring game - both teams should be able to score. It's going to come down to one offense making mistakes.
Chase Daniel threw three INTs against OSU, and I don't think he does that two weeks in a row.
I'm not sure I can say I think Mizzou will win, but there's no doubt in my mind that they can win.

Oklahoma State's defense looks pretty stout...

At times.... Even with the three picks Daniels still passed for 390 yds on them. They`re ranked 62nd in total D giving up 358 yds. per game. Those stats are against Washington St., Missouri St., Troy, Texas A&M,Houston and Missouri. I`m thinking Daniels had more of an off day rather than OSU`s " D" being stout.

There is no doubt in my mind that I know that Mizzou can win this game. Yes, the Horns are coming off a huge win against OU and Mizzou is going to be really hungry in this game. There has to be no one more hungier than Chase Daniel for this game tommorrow. A product of Southlake Carroll High, had dreams of being a QB for the Horns. Never got the offer from Texas until the very end, but was already committed to Mizzou because they had faith in him and ran the same offense that he ran in high school. Who did Texas get after Daniel turned down? Colt McCoy. Daniel was off last week, but he'll bring his "A" game at Austin no doubt in my mind. I pick Mizzou to win by 10 points.

If Daniels doesn't turn the ball over as he did last week, I think Missou will win. UT has one of the worst pass defenses in the country. This game is basically a pick 'em...the advantage goes to Chase Daniels.

I will second what a few have said here already, ut coming off a huge will is set for a classic let down game. MU is coming off a tough loss that they seem to be very upset about and have something to prove. 28 players on MU's team are from the state of texas with 7 or 8 starters included. More than one player has said they have something to prove since texas did not even give them the time of day during their recruiting. Others however seem indifferent.

MU's defense is horrible and has obvious flaws against the pass which is what has hurt them most. Only illinois has put up more than the 28 osu hung on them and that was the first game of the season which is not uncommon in college. Bend but don't break is a good motto for their defense.

On paper, texas wins this game. Add in all the other circumstances and it pulls MU much closer. Call it a local bias but I think MU wins this one. Not easily, but they win.
