I think it will come to pass. She is hacked at the Chelsea management for dragging their heels on a new contract. She has won 6 EPL titles and the players lover her. I hate it , being a Chelsea fan, but she will be a great fit. She has coached in America earlier in her career.
 
USA 3-0 T&T. Trinidad played most of the game with 10 men. Nil-Nil til the 82nd minute then we scored 3 in a 7 minute stretch. Trinidad packed in at the back and were hard to break down. We persevered. Wasn't great, but all in all not too bad either.
 
Agreed, really a great finish to the match. With all that frustration of not breaking through, the boys kept their composure, kept pressing, and it paid off.

It’s never easy to break down a team intent on parking the bus and whose keeper is playing extremely well. Good on the boys for finally pounding through.

All we gotta do in the away leg is hold serve and we’ve got our Copa America berth.

I had a conflict last night and missed the match but just watched the highlights. It looked like we started pretty strong the first 25 min or so with several chances. Dest did lose his mind, that is totally unacceptable.

Well we waited until the last possible second to draw even and then pulled away in extra time. We totally dominated the match. They just parked the bus and tried to counter the entire match.

Finally we put Reyna in for the second half and he helped break the defense.
 
Mexico USA isn’t even a rivalry at this point. The talent disparity along with our development system is starting to become too much.

Mexico can’t beat us in an open game so they tried to be what we were 20 years ago. Pack in and counterattack. They don’t have the athletes like Dempsey or Donovan or McBride or Cobi, or the quality at keeper like Friedl or Keller or Howard (I like Memo but the man is old to be the starting keep at a top 15 soccer nation) to do it like we did.

As I've said ad nauseam, FMF is regressing regarding youth and development while the USA has now got it figured out. We find them, nurture them, then send them to top flight leagues across the pond to master their craft, and it’s paying off. Both of our goals last night came from guys that came from MLS academies in NY but are currently playing in Europe.

You hate to see it, but at the same time you love to see it lol.
