Agreed. I believe he winds up at OU or Mizzou in the end. JMHO.I respect jam's opinion but IMO it is less than either of those.

I am referring to the latest report on Rivals.com which is the first link in my post above. There are numerous other reports where Green-Beckham's father named his son's updated favorites lists. ESPNU Recruiting Insider, 247 Sports, and other sites are not including Bama among his updated favorites list. I don't see any Bama coaches visiting Green-Beckham but I see the head coaches of both OU and Arkansas visiting his games last month. I don't see him visiting Bama or publically scheduled to visit Bama. This Saturday is the biggest game probably for this season and he is not on the visitor list. I am not saying that things can't change because they can but right now I just don't see Green-Beckham showing any serious interest in Alabama.CS in the latest interview done with him right after he set the record he told ESPN he did not have a top 5. He said that ARK and OU were in the high running and that they would definitely get visits. He also stated that AU and Texas were possibilities, but no visits were scheduled with them yet and specifically debunked the rumor that he had setup visits with those 2. He also went on to say that he was still open to all schools.
I am not saying that UA is still in it but that top five was bogus. I will only believe things that come directly from him and according to DGB he has not eliminated anyone and only has 2 at the top and still open for the rest. No top five. I also am curious to the reports that his dad stated he had set up visits to AU and Texas because in this piece from Friday night even his dad said they have not scheduled any visits whatsoever and have to determine what they can get in with BBall starting.
If I had to guess it is down to OU and Ark and they may be the only ones getting OVs.

Thanks for the info. I either missed that or forgot about the visit, but that does not change the current situation in my opinion.Surf our wrs coach was there last month
I would tend to agree.. To be perfectly honest, I really don't think we would have landed Julio if he were not from Alabama. Too many other top programs that REALLY air it out...With that said, I'm ecstatic about the crop of WR's that we have coming in and the ones that have yet to be unleashed(ie. Sylve, Shinn, Chris Black, Duron Carter). We will be fine and the Crimson train will keep rolling with or without DGB. Best of luck to the young man, regardless of where he chooses to pursue his college career.lol at you guys arguing the semantics of this. We are not going to land DGB.
This is the reason why C Carter sent his son to our program. So I am just saying if a player really wants to develop he can not do better than Alabama.
And this is why we don't have to have DGB although it would be great to have two tall, strong WRs.This is the reason why C Carter sent his son to our program.
I thought Roddy went to Ga Tech as well?Funny thing is the WR's that excell in the NFL right now didn't come from pass happy ofenses ie Calvin Johnson (Ga Tech) Andre Johnson (Miami) Larry Fitzgerald (Pit) Roddy White (UAB) Greg Jennings (W. Michigan) Desean Jackson (Cal) Mike Wallace (MS). None of the top 20 Fantasy recievers went to a pass happy school. I think there is something to be said about playing in an offense where the recievers actually have to work on their craft. Look at Micheal Crabtree for instance, he has been pedestrian at the NFL level. So I am just saying if a player really wants to develop he can not do better than Alabama.
Nope UAB alum.I thought Roddy went to Ga Tech as well?
But the reason had little to do with his pass catching development or anticipated stats. This is the reason why C Carter sent his son to our program.
