Xavier Lee is Leaving F$U

He's going to declare for the draft? I think that is a huge mistake. His dad should be telling him to stay in school and get his degree. He can have a free ride to a college education and he is banking on an extremely long shot of a career in the NFL instead. This will not end well.

this just proves how much of a joke academics are becoming at some universities. his parents go on and on about him being mistreated. why, whatever do they mean - perhaps that the professors were too hard on him? because i'm sure academics were the primary reason he chose fsu.

instead of sticking around and getting a degree he's jumping at long odds in the nfl...typical.

Those days existed about the same time that people had to walk uphill, both ways, in the snow barefoot to school. In other words, those days never were.

Players have always been resistant to position changes and if the player thought that he had pro potential at his original position then he'd either refuse or leave the team.

College players aren't gladiators that just compete for our amusement.

Every school has players that both transfer out and transfer in every year so it is not clear how this can be blamed on college football's de-emphasis of academics.

That does seem to be the trend doesn't it? I mean like the 2006 Ole Miss game Brent Schaffer was terrible that entire year then he came into the bama game and looked like the greatest Ole Miss has had since Archie Manning, then he played terrible the rest of the year. Crazy how that works out.
 
More bad news for FSU. They just lost another commitment (now 3) and X-man leaves! I love it!!!!!
 
So, he leaves FSU because they asked him to move from QB and he decides to declare for the NFL draft where he'll be lucky to see the field as a special teams player and won't ever get a sniff at QB?

I don't get it.
