"yea alabama" ringtone

My phone rang today when I was over at some neighbors house helping them with a pc problem (printer wasn't working)

They have family in visiting from Tennessee (they are also form there oddly enough they are Gator fans) and one of the folks sitting behind me goes oh is that the Tennessee song and my neighbor dies laughing (knowing my disdain for the men in jumpsuit orange)

And I politely informed that no it was not and we'd be ice fishing in Bermuda before it was. Anyhow they all got a good laugh and I did to once I fixed the printer ( plugging it to the computer helps in the whole printing conundrum )

so anyhow .. yep I have the ringtone myself lol.

Why stop at just a ring tone, my Bama themed iphone

myxertones.com will send it to your phone for free. If I can do it, I am pretty sure anyone can. I had "yea alabama" sent to my phone from this website as well as "sweet home alabama". You just have to be patient and wait for a few minutes for the song to arrive to your phone.

If you have iTunes and an iPhone, you can download the entire fight song played by the Million Dollar Band and then shorten it to a "ring tone." You do pay 99 cents extra for the ring tone version, but you have the entire song, too. If you don't customize it, you only get the intro to fit into the ring. I hope that makes sense, but you have to cut out the first part to get to the actual "fight song" ring tone material. It will make sense when you download! For the record, I would probably have paid $10 to get it, but I believe it was only $2-3. It is my one and only ring tone and I doubt I will ever change it!! :BigA:

i do not have itunes or an iphone.

I don't understand why people are still buying iPhones, when there are far better phones on much better networks that cost less. Eh, I guess it's not called the Apple cult for nothing. :)

Seriously, though, what kind of phone do you have? Almost any smart-phone, internet-phone, or pda-phone can use an mp3 or other regular audio file as a ringtone. You just have to transfer the file to the phone.

I have a cheap phone. I am jobless and cannot afford anything fancy. Mine is just a Samsung Smooth. It was free after my "new every 2" and then $50 rebate.

The Samsung Smooth supports bluetooth file transfer. Most Samsung phones support mp3 ringtones. If you've got a bluetooth adapter on your computer, you can probably create your own ringtone mp3 and transfer it via bluetooth.

Note: many phones have a file-size limit for ringtones. Use an audio editing program like Audacity to edit the file and save it in a lower bitrate so that it will be small enough to use.

If you don't have bluetooth on your pc, a quick google search for that phone using usb turned up this:
How to add ringtones to Samsung Smooth

It's a little involved, but shouldn't be too complicated.

One or both of these methods should allow you to use any audio file you have as a ringtone on your phone.

You can go to phonezoo.com and create and post or download someone else's ringtone.

I have Eli Gold saying "Touchdown Alabama" as my text message notice. It is really great when I get a text in a meeting.

I have added "Touchdown Alabama" as my text message notice as well. thanks for that. Unfortunatley you only get 30 seconds of time when creating your own. As soon as I get some money I am going to get the stuff so I can connect to my computer. I found another site but it did not work for me. It could possibly work for someone else though.

Air Force, then the barns' "flight song", Long story short go to the end, it's under "yea Alabama" . It takes a lot of scrolling, but it's worth it. $2.00. I got mine! :BigA: :biggrin2: :BigA:

I have been an Apple user since the Apple IIe when I was in 5th grade. I just prefer the user friendliness of the brand! Sure, AT&T isn't the best provider, but even in my somewhat rural area, I still get great service and have a great device! People who aren't Apple users won't ever understand it, though! Perhaps it is somewhat "cult-ish," haha! I love my Apple products just like I love Bama Football!!
