You are right..the Saints using that term goes back to the early 70s while the Bengals started using it in the early 80s during their Super Bowl run.

If you remember correctly Benny Perrin and EJ Junior was on that Cardinals team also! I went to many of their games when we were across the river at Scott AFB.

EJ Junior was a huge fan favorite...I definitely remember him. I used to go to Scott AFB every year with my dad to go to the air show there and watch the Thunderbirds....they really knew how to put on a show.

I'm from Mississippi, and Brett Favre is our posterchild. Green Bay also has a rabid fan base, almost college-like. They also have a lot of tradition. So . . . Green Bay it is. . .

I like that. I also like the Giants because well...there's another Mississippi boy on that team.

I went to a few games in Tulane Stadium when I was a kid (one was the Dempsey 63 yard FG game) - I think that was because I bugged my dad and grandfather to death about going to a Saints game.

Later in life, I spent a lot of hours in Joe Robbie (Pro Player...whatever) Stadium in Miami watching the Dolphins.

Besides those two, I also like the Packers. I've always liked the Packers for their tradition. The team is owned by the fans; they haven't built a domed stadium; the fans wear blocks of cheese on their heads. What's there not to like about them? Besides the fact they haven't had a player self-titled "Downtown", Prime Time," "Hollywood" or some such foolishness.

To me that are NFL teams, and then there is THE NFL team, Chicago Bears.
