We lived in Pasadena (TX) late fifties/early sixties. Somewhere in that time period there came a big snow. I was told later that it was a big deal for that area. I had no reference, but my memory is that it came up to my 3 year old knees. 😊

The weather folks have shown a big for us snowfall in 1960. The record is 20 inches in 1896.

I've photographed that tower on several occasions over the past 25 years or so, but I've never managed a shot like that. Well done. .

Just picked up some new plants. Not the most ideal time of year to add to the collection but Spring is around the corner here so another month to go before I'll have more options on care.

I moved the old floor safe from the garage in my parent's old house today to one of my storage units. Borrowed an engine hoist from my mechanic. Took the door off the safe yesterday and had to make a second trip to transport it using a hand truck. The safe belonged to my step-father and has sentimental value to me. The house is supposed to close very soon and this was the last item I wanted to get out.

My older brother in Virginia shared this with me. His back deck - that he "shares" with the wildlife.... ❤

We’ve been in St. John’s, New Brunswick Canada for a couple days. This was the result of freezing spray on our way down to Boston 🥶🥶🥶

My late Mom and step-father's house was supposed to close today. I went over and left a 2 page primer on the kitchen counter for the new owner on all of the basic stuff like the pest control, lawn care, irrigation and landscape lighting, roof, and HVAC along with all the extra keys I could find, a garage door opener, the mailbox and pool keys.

Plus my name and contact info, in case they have any questions about anything.

Lot of memories and a new chapter......

My late Mom and step-father's house was supposed to close today. I went over and left a 2 page primer-snip-

I went over today and was able to meet the new owner. She was EXTREMELY nice and we had a nice conversation while sitting on the back deck. She remarked how nice and quiet it was back there.

I went over everything that was in the info packet I had left - plus some other info - and also answered whatever questions she had. Water was off and they didn't know about the shutoff on the side so glad I was there to show them that. I meant to include it in my info packet.

She had a cleaning crew there and they were doing great! She had already removed the wallpaper band and patched all the picture hanger holes. Said the wallpaper came right off. She bought the house for and with her daughter and her two young grand girls.

So it seems like the house is going to be well-loved.

Wasp nest at one of my accounts today. I think they are what are known as Paper Wasps. Very chill....never tried to attack me. In turn, I left them alone after securing the photo release.....

Saw this Tesla behind me as I traveled south to Flagler Ave. this morning. Figured we'd get caught by the light and I'd get a chance to snap a pic. I love the design of these Cybertrucks and seeing someone take advantage of the body style to do some marketing is just too cool!

Visited Mom in the cemetery this afternoon. She would have turned 102 today. Felt good to be with her again. 🙏

On my way home, coming down N. Pine St......a middle-aged gent in a red hoodie with a big script A on the front was crossing the street. I rolled down the passenger window and yelled out a hearty "Roll Tide!" as I passed and he responded with a peace sign.

Worked in my motorcycle service bay all afternoon getting things back in order after a crazy last few months. Feels good to have that done so I can resume my wrenching activities!

Then came inside to whip up some Carnitas Quesadillas with caramelized onions...yum!

Flipped the tube on to "Shark Tank" - one of my fav. shows. I'm only posting this because they had a young kid (just graduated high school) who came up with a product that really impressed me. Ultimately he had two shark offers...and decided on Damon over Kevin.

It was a pretty cool episode because this kid really had his act together.....and his Mom was giving him a hand here and there. Family stuff always has a place in my heart.

The episode was from 2022 and looks like his business is still doing well.....
