basically, it comes down to the argument that they can only play who is put in front of them. Which is crap, and to claim that Petersen is a better (or even equal to ) than CNS is an affront to all that 100 + years of alabama football has established, and even the very fabric of the state of alabama.

Next year will be the second year in a row in which they will play a PAC-10 team AT HOME. Their game against VT will be on neutral territory.

They (with their 30K capacity) want to be treated as equals to BCS schools and they simply are not. They stopped scheduling SEC teams after they got tired of their yearly beat downs (and in doing so being exposed) and now they don't seem to schedule BCS schools on the road. They still have never beat a SEC team...

You really think BCS schools wouldn't like to play them in front of a home crowd? I'd think any team looking to make their mark would love to take out a overrated Boise State team (off the smurf turf). Their complaints about scheduling reek of dishonesty. If they were earnestly trying to better their schedule they would have joined the MWC and they would be more willing to play BCS schools on the road.

They are gaming the system and some people are falling for it.

Do i think BCS schools in general would? Yes.

Do I think alabama or an SEC team would? No.
Only for this reasoning, what happens if we win? We were expected to.
What happens if we lose? All he!! breaks loose, we lose any shot at a NC. And become the mockery of our conference.

After all, we couldn't let Coach Saban win EVERYTHING this year, now could we.

The good news - while Saban will never admit it, this probably made him at least a little bit angry. Sure, Peterson did a whole lot with a whole lot less talent, but Bama's season was beyond great - it was amazing.

I'm not sure what else Saban could have done to win the award this year. When he rebuilds two football programs and wins a National Championship at each, then maybe he'll be worthy...doh!

If you're any kind of man and competitor, the Tennesse job is open. Why don't you come down here and play with the big boys and let's see what kind of coach you REALLY are, instead of satisfied with just being the big kid on the playground in.... Idaho?

I respect Peterson as a coach, but come on! When you only play a game or two a year, you should be able to go undefeated or have only one loss. Leave the pee-wee conference and come play some REAL football!!! Prove it where the big boys play football!!!

I wonder why he stays there. Is he trying to be some small school hero? Does he have some major baggage that no one knows about and Boise will accept it? Why stay at a school that can go undefeated and still finish outside the top three? Is he comfortable in Boise, Idaho? He will not be a national champion in the near future if he stays there. If he wants to win one, he better move. I just don't get why he doesn't.

Petersen may be "afraid"...look at the last two Boise head coaches...they were quite "successful" at Boise but stunk it up at schools in tougher conferences. A good HS coach doesn't necessarily make a good "big time" college coach...just ask Gerry Faust and Mike DuBose.
